We have had a blast playing live together as a band again recently. Our Latin America tour was amazing and we deeply appreciate all the love and encouragement that we get from all of our U.S. and International friends. It's been awesome to reconnect with so many old friends via Facebook and other social media outlets and we feel blessed that people still have an interest in an old-school Rock & Roll band like Guardian.
But...amidst all this new fun...we realized that there is still just one thing missing...A NEW RECORD!
Back in the day, we had record deals and budgets and fun stuff like that...but a lot has changed in the music business...and the only way for Guardian to make a new record is...to do it ourselves!
But we need your help.
To really make a great record...we are trying to raise $30,000--and we would love for you to partner with us.
$30,000 sounds like a lot of money...and it is. But we want to make an album that isn't just a collection of songs, but rather a "big event" like our Miracle Mile album. And in true Guardian style...we want to record this new album in both English and Spanish--and that definitely requires more time and effort.
To be honest, it costs much more than that to really do things correctly...when it comes to making and marketing your own music project at a high-quality level--and we will use every dollar raised toward making the best project possible!
Our goal is to release this new record before the end of 2012. No...we're not worried about the Apocalypse...we just want to hold ourselves to a deadline!
In true Kickstarter style, we are going to offer some fun rewards for any of you who are able to contribute financially to this new project. Of course, you'll get a copy of the new music but we've tried to come up with a few unusual goodies along the way.
And even though we are living in a digital music age, many of you have told us that you would still love a CD to hold in your hands. Well...as part of this campaign, we will do a limited pressing of 1000 CD's in special packaging. This will be a one-time run of this special design--exclusive to this Kickstarter campaign.

OK - so we'd like to take credit for that cartoon image that looked just like Karl but it really wasn't us. It was done by the amazing folks at Incredibox. It was just our good fortune that their dream frenchman looked just like Monsieur Ney!

We're Rock & Roll soldiers! We thought we told ya!
Hopefully, if you're reading this...You already know Guardian. We have been around for a LONG time. (Yeah...we're old guys...but Rock & Roll keeps us young...or at least we'd like to think so).
Basically, we're a Christian Rock band that formed in Los Angeles, CA back in the 80's. We have released quite a few records over the past 25 years. (Most of 'em are on iTunes if you wanna check them out). These days, we live in Nashville, TN and we don't tour the world non-stop like we used to (We have 18 kids these days!) but we still love playing live whenever we can and we feel fortunate and blessed to still be able to make music together.
