Tanya was very communicative during the campaign but now that the cash has been delivered it would be nice to see that same level of gratitude and information for those that enabled it to happen at all. I certainly don't expect to get the promised thank-you gift any longer but I'd love to hear how things are going.

Is a creator legally obligated to fulfill the promises of their project?
Yes. Kickstarter's Terms of Use require creators to fulfill all rewards of their project or refund any backer whose reward they do not or cannot fulfill. (This is what creators see before they launch.) We crafted these terms to create a legal requirement for creators to follow through on their projects, and to give backers a recourse if they don't. We hope that backers will consider using this provision only in cases where they feel that a creator has not made a good faith effort to complete the project and fulfill.

Hi Tanya, if it's not too much trouble, would you post updates here on a regular basis? Something like, "We're still working on the IC design" or whatever would let people know that you're still working on this project.

This would make a good X prize has anyone talked to the X foundation.
Any company that started manufacturing these would be postioned to make billions should a way be found to interface electronics to optic nerves. Who wouldn't want a boinic eye.
