About this project

For the past three years Groundswell has been covering critical cultural production at the crossroads of arts and activism. Much of our work has been digital and, so finally, to the presses!

Our first edition focuses on crisis folklore and will include offerings from Real Estate for Ransom, Team Colors, Basekamp, Chris Kennedy, and other influential authors yet to be announced. To read more about what we're developing, click here.

We are raising funds from individuals because:

• We're currently an informal group - we exist entirely outside of other funding structures.


• We've been noncommercial for three years - Groundswell is our labor of love, funded solely by our members' labor and resources.


• We believe it's possible to function and thrive like this, and with your help, we will!

Help us to create a larger, broader and more connected community of actors and participants through a print journal. Donations as small as $1 can be made, and go directly to our printing costs.
