About this project
In "short", i was a lost teen in the early 80's.
i was kicked out of public school for being a troubled teen ( at only age 12 ) ?.
i was arrested numerous times for breaking the law, and became heavily influenced by the negative themed harder edged music of that era.
ie: motley crue, ozzy, iron maiden, ac dc, ratt, etc....
At that point, i had just about given up on life, contemplating suicide, and really just obsessing in the darker messages of my favorite bands, God ( yes God ) opened up my ears & eyes to something i had no idea even existed.
"Christian 80's glam hard rock" :) LOUD crazy music with a message of hope & not death?
without getting to in depth, God basically used this 80's rock band WHITECROSS, to utterly change my mind, heart, and general outlook on life & death.
I litterally went from being a "Loser" failing student - in a school for delinquents,
to being an honor roll student, with respect for others.
Only God could take me from my place of darkness, into the light, and give me hope through a "christian rock glam band" for real! ;)
It has been over 20 years now, and i have only the desire to move forward and change other teens lives for the better.
i have been blessed with a lovely God fearing wife, who has given to me 4 unbelievably wonderful & beautiful kids of my own.
and God has placed us both into rolls where we are able to uplift local NH teens, as we own & manage the NH local teen music and art venue, known as GROUND ZERO!.
I still have the original vinyl record of WHITECROSS on the wall behind the sound board at the teen center! :)
Now, as if i have not been blessed enough already, i recently was able to "chat it up" on facebook with rex carrol the original guitar player for WHITECROSS!.
that, in and of itself, was quite a trip :)
but then something truly great happened.
Rex offered to come with the entire original WHITECROSS band lineup, to perform here in NH at GROUND ZERO!.
Basically, all we need to make this a reality, is purchase airfare for the band, and get them hotels when they arrive.
This would be a dream come true for myself, and would complete some sort of "full cirlce" in my life :)
of course we would stack the bill with other local teen rock bands, so that kids could catch a glimps of some serious muscians, with a heart to bring hope to the stage, through hard driven rock!.
just imagine for a second, Kirk hamet from metallica gets ahold of you on facebook, and offers to come play in your garage!!!, or def leppard, ratt, whitesnake.
Well thats about the just of this for me personally, Whitecross has always held a HUGE place in my heart, and it truly would be an honor and mind blowing experience, to host an event with them here in NH @ GROUND ZERO.

The new GROUND ZERO is the 6th. all ages live original music venue we've opened in NH since 1996. Centrally located only minutes from both the state capitol and the largest city in NH. With a 4000 sq. ft. layout, professional sound w/ lights, & large stage, GROUND ZERO is completely set up to host small to medium ORIGINAL bands of many genres.
GROUND ZERO is funded out of pocket by its owners. it is not affiliated with any Orgs., of any kind. We have been extremely blessed over the past 14 years , to have offered the youth of 4 different NH communities, this positive music filled environment , which GROUND ZERO is today.
Over the years we have had such a vast number of incredibly talented artists through our doors , we would need a whole other website just to list the many great ORIGINAL bands & poets we have had the pleasure of hosting.
We began in 1996 with a 5 dollar cover charge to our local events, and over the past 14 years have seen a drastic change in the music scene & economy, unfortunately forcing us, to gradually increase our cover charge to 7 , then 8 , and now 10 per entry. we are hoping to keep it at 10.00 for some time , and not have to ever raise it above that.
We will continue in what feel called to do, and hope that we can be an influence on the youth of yet another NH community, and also help many more bands to strive hard to make it to the next level , to keep thier heads up , and achieve thier goals and dreams. Positive music can be a wonderful thing , it brings people together and can make a huge impact on how we cope with day to day living.
Once again thanks to all of you who have supported us in the past , please continue to support all ages venues NOW & in the future .
