"Grey" is the story of Hipolito "Hip" Gutierrez a mentally ill mass murderer who has been asked by God (by way of an angel, who has taken the form of Hipolito's lost love, Leah) to carry out his bidding. In order to make Hipolito primed for his destiny God augments his strength and durability. It also gives him a face that is easy to hate.
“Grey” brings into light the struggle of mental abnormalities, the ambiguity of ethical defining and the growing American classism. The interweaving of three strangers coming together to impact each other’s lives – with the lives of countless others. Along the way, the graphic novel asks the audience to define the characters as right or wrong. The conclusion might not be so easily found as the question presupposes, given the fact that right or wrong many times falls into the grey category.
Grey is an on going story but it does have a definitive ending.
Funding: I need $2,400 minimum for 3 weeks of day and night attention to penciling the pages for Chapter one. The total projected amount needed for completing Chapter one is $35,000 which will include; inking, coloring, assembling a website dedicated to "Grey", publishing, printing and binding finished comics for distribution.
