Update #6: Successful Shoot in Sri Lanka
Hi-
We just returned from our shoot, and we're happy to say we got some incredible material for the documentary. We'll be in post production for the next few months with a goal of completion by early 2011. You can read our behind the scenes blog by visiting http://www.greenermedia.com/blog/
We will be mailing out your rewards very shortly, so if you have not entered your mailing address, please do so by logging into kickstarter and filling out all the information.
Thanks again for your generosity. Your pledge helped us get some incredibly powerful footage that will strengthen the film and help illustrate the importance of conserving these amazing animals.
Best,
The Greener Media Team

Update #5: You all are amazing!
We cannot thank you enough for your generous support. With less than 5 days to go, we've reached our goal, and it wouldn't be possible without you all. We have a lot of work ahead of us, but we're excited to make this documentary the best it can possibly be. This follow up shoot will ensure that.
With the funds raised through Kickstarter, we plan on returning to Sri Lanka at the tail end of July to coincide with The Festival of the Tooth, one of the most venerated Buddhist festivals in Asia, where the elephant plays an integral role in the ceremonies. We will also be filming the first HD aerial footage in post-war Sri Lanka, and returning to the field to see some of SLWCS's new conservation projects. Leading up to July we will be busy prepping for round 2 and cutting the footage we already have in the can. You can always stay abreast of what's happening at www.greenermedia.com once this Kickstarter fundraiser comes to an end.
A note to pledgers: Any rewards from Sri Lanka such as Batiks or Elephant themed art will be available upon our return at the end of July. We'll be reaching out to everyone over the next few weeks to get your mailing addresses to send out the rewards.
While we have reached our goal, we still have about 5 days left. Any additional pledges that come through at this point will be put directly into the project; and would help with additional gear, insurance, and all the other wonderful costs associated with obtaining permissions and clearances.
Again, thank you all for your support! You are amazing.

Update #4: Even More Rewards
We've just added some exciting new rewards; original photos from Sri Lanka, an opportunity to have a tree planted in your name on a farm in Sri Lanka, and chocolate candy elephants.
We are so grateful for those who have generously pledged so far, and we hope you'll help us continue to spread the word.
$500- For pledges of $500 you'll receive funding credit and we'll plant a citrus tree in your name on a local farm. That tree will grow and provide an added income source for a local farmer while contributing to the protection of that farmer's livelihood. Project Orange Elephant was developed by SLWCS as a way to safely deter elephants from encroaching on farming areas while providing added economic value to farmers.
$100- For pledges of $100 you'll receive funding credit and we'll give you access to our online photo gallery from Sri Lanka. For pledges in the USA we'll send you an 8x10 high rez digital print of your favorite photo. For any pledges outside of the USA, we'll send you 4 high rez digital files (not prints) that you can print as large as 16x20.
Find out about other rewards, make a pledge, and spread the word! 50% of any profits from distribution of the film will go directly back to the Sri Lanka Wildlife Conservation Society to help support their conservation projects.

Update #3: Delicious New Rewards!
We're excited to be nearing the 70% mark of our 10K goal, and our good friends over at Conrad's Confectionery have offered their creative genius to create a new reward for pledges to our project. Conrad's has been making top notch chocolates, candy, and ice-cream since 1928. In the spirit of our documentary they're offering something very special; two types of chocolate elephants.
For a $20 pledge you will receive 2 chocolate elephant pops.
For a $30 pledge you will receive 1 standing chocolate elephant.
And for $50 you'll receive 3 pops and 1 standing elephant.
We have until March 7th, so please help us spread the word and spread the chocolate. Everything you need to know can be found at our Kickstarter Fundraising page, http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/greenermedia/asian-elephant-conservation-documentary
Update #2: We're on our way
Hello everyone-
We wanted to let everyone know that we've broken the 60% mark, and we have just 40 days left to make the difference. We are eternally grateful for your generous support. If you know anyone else who may be interested in the project, please spread the word.
Updates:
We've secured the rights to some really unique music from the composer Dave Soldier. Also, the Sri Lanka Wildlife Conservation Society, who we are collaborating with, just secured a grant from Exetel Private Ltd for their innovative 'Saving Elephants By Helping People' project.
Thanks again and we look forward to delivering a top-notch film!
