March 21 update:Thanks so much to those of you who have already pledged toward our second record! We're so thrilled to have received your generous support, which pushed us over our $4000 goal today.

Reaching the goal means that we'll receive the money you've pledged and you'll get your thank you gifts, and it's a huge help towards our recording costs. But $4000 only covers a portion of our expenses. We expect to spend several thousands more mixing and mastering the record. So if you haven't given yet and you're willing to, we would still be incredibly grateful to receive your pledge, and we still have thank you gifts we'd love to send you. About us

We put out an album called Presenting the Great Unknowns on Daemon Records in December 2004. It's been a while, but we're back and ready to record again. In fact, we start recording at Bias Studios in Virginia on March 13th. If you liked Presenting, we think you'll also really like the new songs (check out the song in the video above for a preview, or hear some demos on YouTube). But recording is expensive and we could really use your help making it happen. That's where Kickstarter comes in.

About Kickstarter

Here's how Kickstarter works: We set a funding goal and ask if you're willing to help out. But it's all or nothing for us. If we reach our goal before the end of the campaign, you follow through on your pledge and we the money you've generously given so we can make our record. If we fall short of our goal, you're not charged at all and we don't get anything.

Most importantly to us, your pledge helps us hugely in paying for the recording process. But it can also get you some thank you gifts that you can't get anywhere else, including an exclusive signed Great Unknowns poster (designed and hand-printed by the band) and an exclusive EP of never-released Great Unknowns tracks.
