Last summer, our friend got hit by a car...

He was riding his bike home at night after a thief stole his bike light.  His story isn't unique.  As it turns out, 1 in 3 city bikers have had their lights stolen and 80% of bikers frequently forget their lights at home.

We want to make city cycling safer

so we created The Defender - theft-resistant bike light.  It locks onto your handlebars making it next-to-impossible to remove.  It's designed by our very talented friend, Ori Levin of Tsor Design.

It's tough as heck and super-bright

The Defender is made of lightweight aluminum, has ultrabright LEDs, and has 3xAA batteries for 100 hours of battery life.  We've put it through extensive durability and reliability testing and it's nearly indestructible.

No tool from a hardware store can remove it

you need a security screwdriver which is included in the box (we've upgraded the security screwdriver from what you saw in the video for added security).  If you lose it, we'll send you another one.  It takes 30 seconds to attach the light.  You can't steal the batteries either.  You need the tiny allen key (provided) to open up the set screw which releases the battery door.

It's very, very waterproof because

The Defender has three, tightly sealed silicone gaskets.  You can leave it on your bike outdoors year-round.

So far we paid out of pocket, but

we'll use $13,500 to make the dies for aluminum casting, $2,000 for the silicon gasket compression molding tools, $1,500 for our custom printed circuit boards, and $1000 on exhaustive reliability testing to ensure a long lasting bike light.
