Rear bike light and Production Update [PHOTOS]
So much to tell. Here we go!
What should our rear bike light look light?
We partnered with GOOD to create a rear bike light that is a "Product of the People". Of the three designs, which one's the best? Please vote for your favorite.
The Defender Production Update
The factory is wrapping up the tooling next week. That means Brad is going to get busy with highly accelerated lifetime testing (HALT). This includes: temp testing, shock/vibration, humidity, salt sprays, push-button testing, and more. We are on track to ship in late June!
Industrial Design Photo Jam
Ever seen an industrial designer at work? It's magical. Check out the behind the scenes photos on our bike light blog.
Love,
Slava + Brad

Love to get one but I have no seat post. or seat whatsoever since I ride a StreetStrider!

Thanks, @Freshsprout! Agreed.

The Defender is great for the seat post and it matches the original front light. However, the Afterburner would be awesome under the saddle. A stylish light which is mounted to the rails of the seat is a welcome novelty. It would interfere less with the bike design and underline the minimalistic setup of most bikes.

Thanks, @Steven. Good thought on 2 independent circuits, we'll see what we can do. @Sasch, no, it's actually Kickstarter's funky link system. The link was the blue text in the update: http://www.good.is/post/product-of-the-people-vote-on-the-design-of-our-next-bike-light/

I love the look of the Predator and Afterburner; looks like something out of Star Trek. Referring to the Afterburner design (the one I voted for) I hope each side is powered independently so if a battery or light dies at least part of the unit will work until the rider reaches home.
