Office of Future Plans:
J. Robbins is an acclaimed rock musician who lives in Baltimore, MD. He runs the Magpie Cage recording studio. His work in the bands Jawbox, Government Issue, Burning Airlines, and Channels, has influenced countless musicians over the years.
Darren Zentek is an accomplished drummer who performed with Kerosene 454, Channels, and others.
Brooks Harlan is a multi-instrumentalist who also runs the successful amp/guitar repair shop Big Crunch, along with his partner Shawna Potter. He and Shawna play in two other highly-regarded bands, Avec and War on Women.
Gordon Withers is "the Jawbox on Cello guy" (http://gordonwithers.bandcamp.com). He now plays cello and guitar in Office of Future Plans.
Paul - Bad Religion would be an awesome choice. Their songs are so short, you might qualify for two! Also, why would you ever want to hear another Nickleback song, in any version? (Related: aren't they all just the same song?)
To me, the "cruel route" would be Dream Theater. Also, I'd veto it outright.
So torn on the cello-ized song choices. Go the cruel route? ("Heartbeat, It's a Love Beat", Nickleback)... Or the awesome route? I'm thinking Bad Religion's "Generator" would be fairly amazing. Or be all self-indulgent and choose one of my own...
