WHAT IS "EVERYTHING, ALMOST?"
"Everything, Almost" is a narrative short film written by Jeannie Bolét , directed by Alex O. Gaynor (Wid Winner & the Slipstream) and co-produced by Susane E. Lee. The story was inspired by the feature length screenplay, BEARCAT, that Jeannie wrote a few years ago. Tired of waiting for the men in suits to give the green light, the "EVERYTHING, ALMOST" crew are taking matters into their own hands to give life to this bittersweet story. This campaign is aimed at funding part of our production.
A TALE OF EVERYTHING, ALMOST
Set along the English coastline, "Everything, Almost" is a story about love and letting go of it when it's only potential is to send you into a downward spiral, despite how much you want it to work.
For the best part of three years, 32 year old Lila has lived apart from Will - her choice... her best friend, her one time side kick and probably the love of her life. His move to New York and success as a writer has only amplified her own stagnancy and inability to embrace what it means to be a grown up.
That is until Will returns home on a brief visit, giving Lila one last chance to prove that she has what it takes to be his girl again...
PROJECT TIMELINE
We're in the throes of pre-production and aim to be rolling by the middle of May. We'll move swiftly onto post production and hope to have a final cut just in time for summer festival submissions.
WHERE DOES OUR BUDGET GO?
Flying the cast and crew to England is not an option and neither is taking a boat (I don't do well on my sea legs) so we're cheating the Mid-Cal coastline for the rugged shores of dear, dear Blighty. With that said we still need to hire essential equipment to make this tale come to life. Feeding and accommodating our cast and crew is paramount as they will be working their backsides off for the love of creativity so any help, support, and love will be most welcome and appreciated... immensely.
OUR PLANS FOR EVERYTHING, ALMOST
Apart from wanting to share this story of love, missed opportunities and what it means to move on from your past, we will be Submitting "Everything, Almost" to film festivals both far and wide! Naturally it is a showcase for all of the talents involved and will allow us to continue to make the kind of cinema that is visually and emotionally compelling AND we want you to join us on this adventure!

Jeannie is a Liverpool born actress and writer living in Los Angeles.
She spends most of her time chipping away at her film making dreams - little by little and bit by bit.
She's dedicated to writing stories that just so happen to be ethnically diverse, visually evoking and with the aim of making your heart skip a beat. Her main goal is to spread a little off-beat love around the world in the form of this visual poem.
