Lower your fashion handicap with GolfHER

Calling all GolfHER's and preppy fashionistas. It's time to lower your fashion handicap. GolfHER has designed a collection of fashionable, functional golf apparel. All products are GolfHER course approved, meaning the pockets are functional to hold tees, ball markers and scorecards.  Wicking and SPF protection on our fabrics provide ultimate comfort for those hot and sunny rounds.  Keep in mind, GolfHER apparel are not only for golfers but also can be worn by any preppy fashionista. With names of "I can hit from the blues, the lateral, and on par" we want golf fashion to be fun and spirited.

How does kickstarter work?

If you decide to help fund GolfHER, you will only be charged if we meet our goal.  If we exceed our goal, we will use the money to launch and manufacture the 2013 line.  If we exceed our funding the extra assistance will be use toward promotion at the 2012 PGA Expo where we will be meeting with buyers and future GolfHER retailers. *Kickstarter and Amazon obtains 10% in transaction fees. 

We provide accessories and 2013 GolfHER apparel as a reward for all of our supporters.  *This is a pre-order option for the collection which helps to launch and produce the 2013 line while building the brand.

The Evolution of GolfHER

I started playing golf at Pontiac Country Club in my hometown of Waterford, Michigan. Being the athletic daughter I was the closest “son” in my family. With the promise of ice cream, I joined my father at the driving range every Sunday night. Next up was the local golf course where my dad asked me to drive along with him in the golf cart. One purple shafted golf set later I was hooked on the game.

Growing up I played on the Waterford Mott High School golf team as well as the Powerbilt Junior Tour. As much as I loved the game one of my biggest struggles was not my opening drive nerves, but what to wear on the first tee! Retailers did not stock junior golf apparel. I tried sporting junior shorts but the nature of the “short” shorts typically led me back into the clubhouse for a wardrobe change into… “gasp” unflattering khakis.

My apparel was appalling. It was around that time that I promised myself that I would create a fashion friendly golf clothing line. With my 30th birthday approaching I revisited my childhood dream. And in 2011, through lots of hard work and determination GolfHER was created.

This line was designed to inspire and empower all female athletes. Whether you are new to the game or a scratch player, we want all GolfHER’s to possess the courage to thrive within a male dominated sport. GolfHER strives to provide you with the best apparel and fabrics on the market. All products are GolfHER course approved, meaning the pockets are functional to hold tees, ball markers and scorecards. Wicking and SPF protection on our fabrics provide ultimate comfort for those hot and sunny rounds.
