Update #6: Latest Festival News!
Hello my lovely backers,
Well, fortunately (very fortunately as we realize how lucky we truly are), we have a few more festivals coming up!
We just found out last week that "Golden Earrings" got into the Big Bear Lake Film Festival in Big Bear, CA. We will be playing at 10 am on Saturday, September 18th and we are currently making plans to head up there to attend the screening. As always, we will be documenting our experiences there to share with you guys.
And speaking of which, if you haven't already seen it, check out our podcast about our screening at the Dances With Films Festival this past June.

Golden Earrings will also be having our East Coast Premiere at the Filmshift Festival in Boston, MA the first week in October. Screening details are still being determined but it looks like our film will be playing 3 times during the run of the week-long festival, which is very exciting for us. Lastly, we will be having our DVD release of Golden Earrings on September 14th in partnership with IndieFlix. You'll be able to buy Golden Earrings at indieflix.com or at goldenearringsmovie.com for just $14.99 plus $1 shipping/handling. That's right, just a buck shipping. That's how we roll. :)

Update #5: Dances With Films Festival!
Hello my lovely backers!
So, just to update everyone, Indie Spirit Film Festival was an enormous success! The cast (minus Julia who was stuck behind some Icelandic ash) made a road trip of it and despite driving straight into a snow storm and adding an extra 6 hours to our trip, we finally made it! We met up with Julia and Brian and after a wonderful screening with some great questions during our Q&A, we headed back to L.A. and in the middle of Utah, we found out from Brian that we won "Best Horror Feature" Audience Award! We took a very excited jumping photo which can be seen on our FB page. :) The local bar even named a drink after our film, The Golden Earrings Martini.
We are also posting up a few videos about our experience at Indie Spirit at youtube.com/GoldenEarringsMovie, so feel free to check those out. The first one went up today!
And 6 days after we got back, I got a wonderful e-mail from Dances With Films Festival letting us know that we had been accepted! And my thoughts immediately went to you guys, my backers! Without your support, I absolutely would not have had the opportunities that we are having now. Dances had been near the top of my list for a long time and it's so great to be screening at such a great venue in L.A.
We will be screening on Tuesday, June 8th at 2:45 pm at the Laemmle Sunset 5. Tickets are $10 if you buy before June 3rd and $12 afterwards. If you live locally and would like to attend (and I'd love to have you!), you can buy tix at http://www.danceswithfilms.com/10_schedule.html.

Update #4: Indie Spirit Film Festival!
Hello my lovely backers!
As you probably know, our screening date for Indie Spirit has been set for Saturday, April 24th at 4:30 pm at the Lon Chaney Theatre in Colorado Springs, CO. More information about our film and others can be seen at www.indiespiritfilmfestival.org.
We will be posting photos and videos live as we are experiencing this amazing festival on both our Facebook and Twitter feeds so if you're not already a follower or fan (which I'm sure you all are), go to www.facebook/com/goldenearrings and www.twitter.com/goldenearrings to become one.
We'll be posting stuff starting Thursday, April 22nd all the way through that week-end. We want to share this experience as much as possible with you guys, since you are the ones that made it all happen for us!

Update #3: Our First Film Festival!
Hello Backers!
Some of you may have already gotten this in a mass e-mail or seen it on Facebook, but for those of you that didn't, I'm very happy to announce that "Golden Earrings" will have its World Premiere at the Indie Spirit Film Festival in Colorado Springs, Colorado on April 23-25, 2010. Our exact screening date is still being scheduled, but we are so excited to be part of this festival and myself and a few of the cast/crew are planning on making the trip out there.

When I started this kickstarter campaign, the goal was to give my film a chance to screen at a festival like this where I could introduce and expand my film's audience. Marion Kerr is an actor living in Los Angeles, CA. She was born in Sacramento and majored in theatre at U.C. Irvine. After studying in London and earning her degree at UCI, she moved to Los Angeles where she focused on film and television. She's appeared on "How I Met Your Mother" and a pilot for ABC as well as Sabi Pictures, "Heart of Now" and "I F*cking Hate You". She's done several commercials, including a national "Heineken" spot directed by Todd Haynes ("Velvet Goldmine", "He's Not There").
She studied filmmaking at the New York Film Academy and has made several short films. "Golden Earrings" is her feature film debut as a writer/director.
