You receive access to our patron-only forums at http://GMSarliGames.com, allowing you to contribute to discussions about the project and influence its development. You will see exclusive previews, design essays, and playtest materials that are unavailable to non-patrons. (If you participate in playtesting, you will receive a "Playtesting" credit in the book.) Finally, you will receive a PDF of the final manuscript and print-on-demand access before the book is available to the public.

50 Backers

As above, but you also receive a hardcover copy of the final book.

Pledge $100 or more Pledge $100 or more

39 Backers • Limited Reward (31 of 70 remaining)

As above, but your hardcover copy of the book is autographed by the lead designer. You also have access to the "Senior Patrons" forums, allowing the opportunity to contribute to the rules development at virtually every stage of the process. In addition, you can propose, design, and submit game material (subject to available space and the approval of other senior patrons). If accepted, you are be paid at the same rate as our other freelancers, and given an "Additional Design" credit in the book; furthermore, all senior patrons who contribute design work will automatically be considered for available freelance work on future game supplements.

Pledge $200 or more Pledge $200 or more

27 Backers • Limited Reward (3 of 30 remaining)

As above, but you will receive a total of three autographed hardcover copies of the final rulebook (great gifts for your fellow gamers, or useful as extra copies to keep at the game table!). Furthermore, you are invited to join exclusive conference calls with the lead designer several times during the development process, discussing design goals, brainstorming, and making proposals in real time. Finally, in August, you are guaranteed a slot to attend the game's premiere event at Gen Con 2010 in Indianapolis and an invitation to an exclusive afterparty. (If you won't be attending the convention, you are free to give your spot to anyone you wish; any unfilled slots will be made available to all Gen Con attendees on a first-come, first-served basis.)

1 Backer SOLD OUT (0 of 1 remaining)

VIP (Very Important Patron) Level: You get everything listed at the $200 level, plus we buy you an airline ticket (US lower 48 states only -- but see below) and a 4-day convention badge to come with us to Gen Con in Indianapolis, August 5-8, 2010. You share a hotel room with me and 2-3 others in my Gen Con crew (most likely my poster/t-shirt printing specialist and my blue Twi'lek "booth babe"), and you party like a game designer (see below) for five glorious nights. The only thing you need is spending money for food and shopping; we'll even pick you up at the airport! ACCOMMODATIONS: We are staying in the Marriott Downtown Indianapolis, directly across the street from the exhibit hall at the convention center (and we even have an elevated skywalk that connects us so we don't even have to cross the street!). Keep in mind, though, you'll be attending the convention the same way we do: Cramming as many people as possible into each hotel room. I will give the owner of the VIP package the option to pick a bed all their own, though, and I hereby volunteer to sleep on the air mattress if no one else will! FLIGHT: As mentioned, the offer is limited to the lower 48 US states just to keep the costs reasonable -- Alaska, Hawaii, and most international flights would cost an arm and a leg. If you're really, really interested and you're coming from farther away, I would chip in the first $300 of the ticket if you're willing to spring for the rest. "PARTYING LIKE A GAME DESIGNER": Game designers don't party very well (we're all socially awkward nerds), but we are prone to playing pick-up games at night in the hotel room. (And drinking. We do tend to drink.)
