Glass Edge Pictures incorporates several unique and talented individuals: Christopher Loftin, Mike Mosley, Darien Smith, Damon & Dion Zigler & Melina Kochoo. Individually, each representative holds their own niche and expertise in film, creative expression, music, sales and marketing. This is a team focused on bringing exciting and entertaining films to the market. We pride ourselves on the combined talent and experience that it takes to develop simple ideas into motion pictures.

THE CAST:

Brian Hooks as Officer Smith.  In his first major film this actor starred as the central character in the urban classic, Phat Beach (1996), which was written and directed by Doug Ellin, creator of HBO’s hit comedy series, Entourage. The success of Phat Beach ignited considerable demand in Hollywood for Hooks leading him to land roles in many blockbuster films afterwards : High School High (1996), Bulworth (1998), Beloved (1998) and Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999) to name a few. He proceeded to guest star in multiple hit television series from the late 1990s. His notoriety: Cracker, NYPD Blue, Moesha, ER and The Parkers. Hooks success and fame doesn't stop there.  He has also played in 3 Strikes (2000), Obstacles (2000), Nothin' 2 Lose (2000), The Luau (2001), Chat Room (2002), The Sheme (2003), Eve (TV series which aired on the UPN network from September 15, 2003 to May 11, 2006, with 66 episodes produced over 3 seasons.) Soul Plane (2004), Wifey (2005), Dead Tone (2007), Fool's Gold (2008) & I Do... I Did (2009).  Hooks procession of straight-to-DVD films has been so wildly popular and successful throughout urban America that he was dubbed, “King of DVD” by the urban media. 

Shawn “C-BO” Thomas as C-BO an American gangster rapper from the West Coast.  Thomas was born and raised in Sacramento, California and has sold over 3.5 million albums independently since 1993. Unlike, so many self-described "gangsta" rappers, C-BO is genuinely a 'gangsta'. Growing up in the infamous gang-filled neighborhood of Garden Block as a pre-teen, the artist became a member of one of the most notorious gang organizations in the world, the Crips. As an artist, C-BO has creatively expressed the hardships of street life and openly admits his past involvement in street run-ins and other gang related crimes that took place prior to him becoming a full time recording artist/actor. His rap name stands for Cowboy, stemmed from his passionate indignation in support of freedom of speech advocates; which simultaneously fueled his reputation amongst rap fans. 

Brandt “B-Legit” Jones as Mr. X A West Coast legend from Vallejo, California. Jones (B-Legit), is a member of a rap group called The Click, formed by his cousin E-40. He was featured on the popular main stream tracks, Aint Hard 2 Find and All Eyez on Me, by Multi Platinum recording artist 2Pac Shakur. He has been on several independent labels such as Sick Wid It Records, Jive Records, and Koch Records. He has collaborated with numerous artists including E-40, Celly Cel, Too Short, Scarface, Bushwick Bill, Jadakiss, Styles P, Snoop Dogg, C-Murder of No Limit Records, Daz Dillinger, Kurupt, The Federation, Mystikal, UGK, Mack 10, Paul Wall, Keak Da Sneak, Rick Rock, Young Buck from G- Unit Records, The Luniz, and the late Mac Dre. His large fan base will only grow the films exposure and bottom line. 

Dem Hood Starz are two bay-area rappers, John “Band-Aide” Johnson and Dontae “Scoot Dogg” Gardner  are recognized throughout the Bay Area for their hit single, Get Your Grown Man On, produced by San Jose's Traxxamaillion. Originating from two different groups, Band-Aide originated from the group, Neva Legal, consisting of partners, G-Boyee and Mr. Macnitosh. Scoot Dogg originated from the group, Total Insane, started by former rapper, Chun. Band-Aide is from the Eastern part of Menlo Park and Scoot Dogg from East Palo Alto. Together they became, Dem Hood Starz and created, Lawless Records label. 

Ev Duran as Officer Daily. A writer and producer from California, Duran has been passionate about film since adolescence. Having received numerous awards for his works throughout high school, Duran went on to write several plays that were locally produced to great acclaim in his hometown. As his professional interests began to reflect his personal interests, he began to pursue a career in screenwriting and independent filmmaking. Since committing himself to becoming a full-time writer three years ago, he has written screenplays for a wide variety of short films, as well as six full-length feature films. These feature films include, Corruption, a gritty urban action/drama that was produced by Glass Edge Pictures in Sacramento, CA., Play By The Rules, and an adult romantic comedy, which Duran is co-directing along side of Charles Sharp. This film is currently in the final stages of preproduction in Los Angeles, CA. In addition, Duran has successfully directed a number of short films and music videos. He frequently collaborates with different production companies throughout California, and relishes any opportunity to be on-set.

WHERE WE ARE NOW: This is no longer a dress rehearsal:

Film production involves four major stages:

• Pre-production - Preparations are made for the shoot, in which cast and film crew are hired, locations are selected, and sets are built.

• The Development stage - Which the ideas for the film are created and the screenplay is written, occurs before Pre-production.

• Production - The raw elements for the finished film are recorded.

• Post-Production - The film is edited; production sound (dialogue) is concurrently (but separately) edited, music tracks (and songs) are composed, performed and recorded, sound effects are designed and recorded; and any other computer-graphic 'visual' effects are digitally added, all sound elements are mixed into "stems" then the stems are mixed then married to picture and the film is fully completed ("locked").

A year in the making, our shooting is 90% complete. We have completed the Corruption story line (massive amounts of coffee was consumed during this time), assembled our production crew, cast the characters of our film, dressed the sets and scouted and utilized all locations.  We have even utilized helicopters equipped with an advanced stabilization system to capture aerial film footage.  

The next step is to get our film "In the can." (Filming has finished and it is ready to be prepared for showing to the public.)  We are now at the tail end of our journey and are reaching out to all of you here on KickStarter to help us finish this project. 

WHERE THE MONEY WILL GO:

Corruption’s initial work/filming has been funded by the partners of Glass Edge Pictures, Sharp Films and close personal friends; however, there is still work to be done:

• Wrapping Cinematography: Our shooting is 90% complete, we have approximately 3 shots left that will finish up the production and send our movie into overdrive. 

• Creative Editor: 9-12 weeks with a professional film editor.

• Original Score: While Multi Platinum Producer Mike Mosley (partner) is on board to compose and produce the score/soundtrack. We still must seek to license approximately 6 songs.

• Color Correction: This process is similar to advanced Photoshop for moving images and a must for any DVD. We look forward to working with a colorist to bring a unified look and feel to the film once it's cut.

• Sound Design and Mix: Steady Mobbin Productions are on board to work at a discounted rate, but this will be a complex project with sound from the field, a rich score, and a design that will blend old sounds with new. Costs for promotional materials surrounding distribution screenings. There will also be travel costs for pitching the film to potential distributors. 

• Promotions for TV: Music Video promotion time for commercial to be aired on MTV - VH1 - BET 

This Music Video above will be used to promote the movie Corruption on MTV, VH1 as well as BET for extra promotion to further share the awareness of the films ground shattering debut.

WHAT HAPPENS IF WE DON’T ATTAIN OUR GOAL: 

Not reaching our goal to complete this project is not an option. With the advancement of new media technology and social networking, Glass Edge Productions in collaboration with Sharp Films and all other affiliates are dedicated to the advancement and widespread notification of our project, including our Kickstarter goal. However, as entrepreneurs we understand the risk of falling short of our goal. Lightly put, if we do not reach our goal, we do not get any money. Donors make pledges, however, they do not pay until our goal is reached and our funding deadline has passed. Therefore, please help us spread the word! Every little bit helps. As soon as we reach our goal, we can finish the film and get your rewards out as quickly as possible.

CAN I DONATE ANONYMOUSLY? 

Yes! Certain donation levels are rewarded with actual credits in the film. However, we will only put your name in the film once we have gotten your explicit permission and know exactly how you would like your name to appear. After the campaign is over you can always simply decline to be credited at that time. 

CAN WE EXCEED OUR GOAL? 

Yes! The more money we raise, the more polished our film and promotional campaign can be. Exceeding our goal could also determine how soon our audience can see our finished product.

WHEN DO I GET MY REWARDS?

Most of the merchandise, like T-shirts, posters, and promos, will be ready shortly after the campaign concludes. DVDs will ship separately once the film has been released.
