There’s so much at stake with art.

Time, finances, creativity, mental strength, friendships, and a naked vulnerability that comes with sharing art. All you really have in the end is the hope that what you’re sharing reflects a truth and beauty greater than yourself. Because we all want to be a part of that bigger story, and the art you create is your contribution to that story.

Now, your investment might not have the return you expected. But the beauty of art is that the investment is the return. If you don’t enjoy the process or appreciate the product, why do it? You have to believe in it so much that your contentment and joy comes not from validation of others, but rather, the gift of creating itself. 

We are creative creatures. We don’t need art to survive. But it sure makes life worth living. Each second you're alive is no accident. Stop wasting time wondering if your art is “good enough”. Life is too short and art is too valuable to not be shared with each other. 

So bring your heavy heart. Bring your pain. The breaking of the shell is not in vain. Drink this bitter cup, drink the fear, because until you do, you will forever be...
