Well done on getting funded!
Creator Matt Barber on March 15, 2012
HI William,
The way this works is that last month you made a commitment, but no charges were actually made to your credit. Once the campaign ended and was successful (which was last night for us) they charged your credit card. Only once. My mom received a charge last night, so it seems everything is working OK.
Your donation was a one time donation. If amazon double charged you, that is a mistake. But I would go back to your statement last month to see if there was a charge.
See here for more details:

And if you still need help, I would contact Kickstarter. Scroll down to the bottom of the Kickstarter home page and click on Contact.

I made a one time donation last month and now Amazon is taking money out of my account. Couldn't find a way to fix it so am posting here. HELP.

I gave you a shout-out on my blog. With as much positive feedback as this project is generating I have every confidence that you'll hit your goal in the next five days.
Exciting stuff!

Heard about this project from the Rachel Held Evans blog and I'm SUPER excited about it. I've donated and shared on my fb page asking others to contribute.
I've been thinking and writing about this topic a lot in these past few months. If you don't mind, I'd like to share a link to a bit of my story here (feel free to delete if this is out of bounds).

This is an exciting project, but the pledge rewards are kind of stingy, don't you think? $25 for an electronic copy of the video? $50 for a DVD?
I'm at the $5 level right now. Give me a good reason, and I'll pledge more.

An open letter to interested contributors
Normally I try to stay as far out of the public limelight as possible when it comes to my political views and faith. I'm also aware of the constant bombardment of Kickstarter campaigns out there that can plague and annoy the good folks that work in the entertainment industry.
With both of those in mind, I am making an exception to let you know about a project that I believe could change the face of Christian culture, and bring some very important issues to light in a powerful and honest way.
My friend Matt Barber, a very talented Christian filmmaker, is putting together a documentary called "Jesus, Don't Let Me Die Before I Have Sex." It's a "This American Life" style film with interviews from all across the idealogical spectrum on the topic of sex, virginity, purity, and what Christians are taught and learn from all of it.
This is the movie I wish I had watched when I was in my early teens. It's the film I wish existed when I talked to my friends struggling with the issue in high school and college. And it's the film I hope will effect generations of Christians in future decades (even if the hairstyles in the film look goofy by then.)
Right now Matt and his producers are using a kickstarter campaign, and have about %10 of the funds raised.
Before we get too much farther, let me explain what this note is not.
1. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR MONEY. I can't stress this enough. If you feel like you'd want to contribute, then I'll consider that a very generous blessing. But again, that's not what I'm asking for here. (That's Matt's job.)
2. I'M NOT TRYING TO BOOST MY ACTING CAREER. I write cartoons for a living. The last thing I want is to draw attention to my nerd belly and awkward laugh. My wife and I are interviewed in the film, but that's because we believe it will be an honest look at some very personal and often uncomfortable issues in the church. We're not interested in gathering fame off the private details of our relationship (especially after that awful reality show with the pac-man kiss. UGH!)
3. THIS ISN'T POLITICAL. Matt wants to make a film that will transcend the political divide. Sex is an incredibly relatable issue. It shouldn't matter who you are or what you believe. The message of the film will still be able to connect with you regardless of where you stand this election year.
Okay so now that that's out of the way, if you're still reading and would like to help this project become a reality, here's how to do it.
1. TELL A FRIEND. Status updates are fine, but really this project will be much more powerful if you send a message or email to one person you believe will benefit from the film.
2. TELL A CHURCH ACQUAINTANCE. If you grew up in the church and have a community back home that may be interested in supporting this project, let them know. The only way this film will really catch on is if other communities of faith take interest in what Matt is trying to accomplish.
3. TELL A PASTOR OR PRIEST. Christian leaders should have a chance to weigh in on this film. This will give many in the field of ministry a chance to hear what the Church body has processed about the topic of purity.
The more notice this campaign receives, the better. We want churches all across the nation to get involved. Their interest and support will determine what happens next for this fascinating look at an issue that has divided families, couples, congregants, and leaders for a very long time.
My best,
Patrick Rieger

What an excellent idea for a documentary, and it looks like it's off to a great start. I'm happy to support this project!

I really really hope this gets made. I sent a promotion request to the guy who runs stufffundieslike.com and dropped a comment in the comments section of one of his posts. It's also on my facebook. I really hope ya'll get enough money to do this.. it looks like an amazing project.
