Girls Rock Charleston is a music arts camp serving girls from diverse backgrounds in Charleston, South Carolina. The camp will use music as a platform to promote creative expression, self-confidence, acceptance, and community among young women and girls.

During the week of camp girls will choose a musical instrument, form bands, make DIY merchandise, and attend music and girl-empowerment related workshops. At the end of the week, the bands will perform in a showcase concert at the Music Farm.

We are raising money for our first summer camp that will take place July 18th through July 22nd at Ashley Hall in downtown Charleston.

In order to give girls all the necessary tools to rock, we are going to need:  guitars, bass guitars, amps, mics, drums, all kinds of cables and cords, screen-printing and art supplies for DIY merch-making, camper handbooks, food for volunteers, coffee for volunteers, name tags, promotional materials, scholarships for at least 10 campers who can't afford the full camp tuition, camp t-shirts, programs for the showcase at the Music Farm and so much more!  As a project backer you are helping us make this happen!
