My name's Matthew Borgatti. I'm a semi-nomadic maker of things. I teach people how to build and design, especially rapid prototypey digital fabrication kinds of things. I have a little jewelry company called Sleek and Destroy and spend the vast majority of my time figuring out how to make things better, whether it's through products, projects, memes, or design; on a global scale and on the scale of tiny little objects.
@MK Bretsch - I'll do my best to have it touring nationally as soon as possible. I'm not certain when that might be happening, but I'm aiming for sometime in the middle of next year. My first priority is to make the whole installation more robust and then it's all about adding on more voices. Cheers!
My friend who is a classical/church pipe organist here in Portland, OR would love to get a chance to play your creation. Any chance you will be trucking it out this way anytime? We could organize some great sounding spaces, either traditional or non-traditional, for you to put on a show of it here.
Yay! We got funded! Congratulations!
Pledging for @PapercutPress! While we'd love for you to tweet our praises, we'd love it even more if you'd take a look at our bicycling lesbian steampunk debut novel, The Narrows. I'm a big fan of creative exchanges. :) Good luck with the project, it looks awesome!
This is @xriva - happy to support music especially big, loud, complicated music.
Good luck :)
@Tom Tenney - I'll be sure to include all the details on the credits. It seems like I'll be able to collect all the necessary info for thank-you's, etc. once the kickstarter's concluded. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Maker Faire was an odd situation, but it ended up being really fun. I didn't have a specific placement, so ended up not appearing on any maps. However, I did find a spot with some cool acoustics right by the steampunk section. I'll be doing my best to take it everywhere I can in the next few months so I really hope you'll have another chance to see it soon.
I didn't see a "notes" section when I pledged, but I am backing on behalf of the 2011 RE/Mixed Media Festival in Brooklyn. Any thanks and/or accolades should be credited as such. Thanks!
BTW - looked for you at Maker Faire but couldn't find you anywhere....
