About this project
In the 15 years leading up to the formation of lawless carver, Andy, Hunter and Ryan had been in several music projects, including the venture they had going when they invited Adam to merge his solo pursuits with them early in 2010. Dustin later completed the line-up, having shared the stage with Ryan during each of their previous endeavors. By spring of 2010 lawless carver began writing as a 5-piece, and opened Ypsifest 2010 with an overwhelming urge to hit the stage again. They debuted as an instrumental group.
Forging ahead open to the idea of vocals, lawless carver has been embraced by the Ypsilanti show-going scene, and has begun branching outward, playing shows from Detroit to Ann Arbor, and a Simulcast Worldwide Performance. Their self-released ep was well received by the media, garnishing a four star review in Real Detroit's "Ear Candy" column.

Lawless Carver would love to have the 5-song recording and video's that Groovebox Studios will provide, for the purpose of furthering our careers as musicians, and spreading our music and making our presence known to as many listeners as possible. The recording quality and the idea of a "one-take" recording process is unique and we think will reveal a rawness of intrumentation and sound.
We plan to use the video's and quality recordings as part of our digital press kit, for booking us more shows and gaining recognition by record labels and booking agents. And of course, for our listeners pleasure as well -
