Kickstarter

Hey friends! My name is Gayle and I've been playing the piano since I was four, and writing songs since I was eight.  I've been performing my own music live since I could strum a guitar (more easily transportable & a better sound than my old Casio), and I've come a long way since then.  Last year I released my very first full length album, Make Believe, in a coloring book that I illustrated.  I've been booking my own tours for the last 5 years, and I'm hoping to leave for the next one in a week. 

Creating music is something that is inextricable from who I am.  I write songs constantly, even when I don't want to, and there's nothing I love more than sharing my songs with my friends and fans.  I'm so excited to get back on the road and get to Austin!

I almost had a tour buddy this time, but his plans for SXSW fell through.  I'm going to be caravanning with the brilliant Kat Jones for the first half of the trip, and then heading back to San Diego by myself. I'm very excited to be performing at a SXSW showcase, since it's my first time to Austin and it's super tough to get in.  SXSW is a huge music festival and an amazing opportunity to be heard and to network.  As a totally independent artist, this is the place I need to be.  Here's the link http://sxsw.com/ so you can read more about it.
