Pablo Miralles, John Muir High Class of 1982, is premiering his first feature documentary "GRINGOS AT THE GATE" looking at the US-Mexico divide as seen through their soccer rivalry at the 2012 Kicking and Screening International Film Festival June 27th in NYC. For over 20 years Pablo has worked in film and television production. In 1997 Pablo served as production coordinator on Cedar Grove Productions' ACADEMY AWARD winning short film “VISAS AND VIRTUE” and co-producer on their 2004 EMMY Nominated short film, “DAY OF INDEPENDENCE”. While attending UCLA Graduate Film and TV program, Pablo won both the UCLA "Spotlight" and MPAA Student Filmmaker awards as a producer/writer/director for his short “THE HAMMER” and Best Short Subject award at the Charlestown International Film Festival for his thesis, “POSESIÓN”.
