Gary Ploski and Marty Lang really showed us what it's like to engage a community. In the end, I was not only a backer on The Rising Star Movie but also a fan and a friend. I'm thrilled to see this project move ahead and I feel fortunate to have been there from the beginning. Congratulations to all who helped start this and to those that will carry it forward.

Hey everyone - I upped my pledge today because Mario Giovannucci of Bristol (and the father of our producer, Matt Giovannucci!) wrote me a check for $50 to pledge toward the movie. Thanks so much to Mario!

Just so everyone knows, the reason I'm pledging is because people in Connecticut have actually come up to me and given me money for the movie, without actually going through the Kickstarter process. So I'm going to list them as the donations come in ...

Alexa Simmons came over to my house today and gave me $50! Thanks so much Alexa!
Peggy O'Leary sent me a check for $52 on Monday! Thanks so much Peggy!
