More progress made and new rewards/tiers added!
Hello everyone! Thank you so much for spreading the word about Gallery ML this past week. We've gained 18% more donations on our goal to $10,000 since our last update and want to thank everyone that has taken the initiative to help promote and repost about our project. We couldn't have done it without you! Also, special thanks to Craig Tracy for being our very first Founding Patron!
With 12 days left to go in our campaign and just 21 days until we unveil our new space, Gallery ML's team has been working long hours building, spackling, sanding and painting more than you could ever imagine. Next week we'll be finishing the ceiling, installing our new gallery lighting setup (consisting of 280 feet of track and 175 individual lights), resealing the storefront windows and finishing off the walls with a top coat of paint. With a long list of other crucial tasks left to be done (including fixing the heat/ac and hot water), we're asking for your continued support and help in reposting/sharing our Kickstarter link.
In an effort to drum up as much activity as possible for our Kickstarter campaign in these final two weeks, Gallery ML has started to think a little outside the box. With this blog post we announce two new amazing donation tiers and backer exclusive rewards. Check them out:
• $55 DONATION: Gallery ML has teamed up with world renowned body painter and special fx makeup artist NIX HERRERA (from the current season of Face/Off on Syfy) to offer our Kickstarter backers a little something special. Join us at Gallery ML's new location on Saturday, April 7th with Nix Herrera as he hosts an exclusive Zombie & Gore makeup demonstration and Q&A from 12:00pm - 2:00pm. Admission to this demo is by donation to the $55 tier and can only be purchased through our Kickstarter. Space is limited. Don't miss your chance to learn all the necessary tips & tricks on how to create killer zombie makeup from one of the pros! (See graphic above)
• $105 DONATION: Since April 1st is just around the corner and happens to be the date that the majority of our Artist Memberships expire, Gallery ML has decided to offer a special discounted rate through our Kickstarter for new & renewing Artist Members! Exclusively for body painters interested in submitting work to Gallery ML for exhibition, the Artist Membership program offers special membership pricing on printing services and purchases, access to our Gallery ML Artist Member newsletters, and waived art submission fees for 1 year. This discounted rate (originally $115) for Artist Membership signup will expire at 5pm on March 28th, 2012.
