It's a shame the contest fell through the cracks. Oh well.
Mech boss fight looks pretty epic. Can't wait to play it.
As for changing the Dragon Valley boss, it's ultimately your call what you want to do, but shouldn't the first boss(es) feel weak in comparison to later bosses? This allows players to get a grasp on the controls and learn how to fight tougher enemies. Also, at this stage the main villain doesn't know the protagonist right? Why would he bother to send his top men to some random jungle?
Creator James Reinhofer on May 4
So did you or a supporter win that exporter?
Creator GalaxyTrail / Strife on April 25
James - Thanks! We've got our fingers crossed.
Creator James Reinhofer on April 22
Hope the new budget works out.
Creator Tazi on April 13
Sooo... what's the design you finally decided on for Spade? :)
Creator Octopus_Pancake on April 2
I saw the panda variation of spade and I have to say I'm not entirely liking it. Thats not to say it can't be tweaked a bit, but that photo just didn't look right to me... I'm trying to think though, what else could he be turned into... I'll get back to you on that.
Creator Marusame on March 30
I think spade being a panda works, he looks cool as he is now but it does look like one of those "yet another sonic OC" :P So i vote for the panda look, may i suggest trying red panda colors? Red pandas are smaller and fairly cute, their two names are "firefox" and "Wah" If not spade then possible another character or a pallete swap
Creator GalaxyTrail / Strife on March 22
Guybrush - We are currently at 88%. We're been hovering between 88-90 for about a month now.
Creator Guybrush20X6 on March 21
By the way, what rank are you at in Steam Greenlight currently?
Creator GalaxyTrail / Strife on February 16
Nathaniel - We will continue to post updates on Kickstarter, and this will probably be our new "home" base, so to speak.
Creator Nathaniel Delehoy on February 16
Probably the wrong time to ask this, after the kickstarter closed, but is there anywhere we can go to get updates?
Congrats on getting funding for your first game!
Creator Robert B. Healy III on February 15
Congratulations on your MASSIVE success!
Creator KhaosBlender on February 15

Creator AoStH on February 14

Creator Chizu on February 14
Beautiful.
1 hour to go~
Creator GalaxyTrail / Strife on February 14
Thanks! We're surprised how much has been pledged in the past hour alone. We might even make 26k if this keeps up!
Creator xcliber on February 14
And with that, you hit the 25K mark! Congrats!
Creator Beau Worth on February 14
The only flaw I found in this Kickstarter was the fact that most rewards only gave you the $50 and less rewards. If the rewards gave you everything $80 and below, it might have made more people donate more. It's understandable that you didn't because of the manufacturing costs. Very well done for the first and only Kickstarter I'll donate to.

Creator thrasher08 on February 14
Only seven hours left! Let's hope that by they end it'll reach $30000.
Creator Guybrush20X6 on February 14
I did some calculations and if everyone who already pledged added an extra $6 we'd hit $30,000
Creator Ada Ballard on February 14
Ahhhhhhh, still can't decide if I should buy the soundtrack edition or not... And the time is ticking.... Ah, poor me:)
Creator Still Gaming on February 14
Can't believe I didn't have this game backed already. That's crazy. I'm glad I got in before this closed down. I missed out on Pier Solar even though I was one of the lucky 800 to preorder the first edition of the largest Sega Genesis cartridge ever made. Still need to play that.
Anyway, I hope someday I can play this on my Xbox 360 or 720 or 10800. You're at over 1000% of your goal, so I'd hope your XNA option becomes a reality. The guy from Zeboyd games released a $1 and $3 RPG on their Xbox Live Indie Game category, and for the fun of it released his sales figures. If I remember right, he made over half a million dollars on Xbox sales alone.
Creator anthony on February 13
Hitting 30K and get 2 pixel artists would be awesome! Getting closer to 25K already.
I think I'll increase my pledge hope other backers will do the same for this extraordinary game!
Creator Guybrush20X6 on February 13
24 hours to go!
Creator Michael Gunter on February 13
Me: "Tax return came in? Guess I'll push this over 23k"
Really excited to alpha test this!
Creator thrasher08 on February 13
Congratulations on 1000 backers! Hopefully during these final hours they'll be plenty more backers ^^
By the way, what software do you use to create your 8-bit chiptunes?
Creator GalaxyTrail / Strife on February 13
I wouldn't doubt it! The final hours of a Kickstarter tend to be the most active.
Creator Guybrush20X6 on February 13
I wonder if we'll hit 1,000 supporters soon.
Creator Marusame on February 12
Backed, game looks fun. Had it on my watched list it seems like forever.
Creator Guybrush20X6 on February 12
48 hours to go, let's see how high our score can go!
Creator Neo on February 12
What a nice game! I like platformers, and would like to see Freedom Planet on Linux! Let's Free this Planet from Windows! :D
Creator Darian Gonzalez on February 12
I originally pledged a small amount before I had second thoughts about getting the $50+ award. I know for a fact that this will be a great game once its out. To show how much I like the game, I made a remix of the first section of Dragon Valley a while ago. If you'd like to give it a listen, just search DarianGOfficial on YouTube. Enough with my rambling. Good job with the game!
Creator thrasher08 on February 11
Thank you for your advice, sorry for being persistent with questions.
Also, what software do you use to create you're 8-bit soundtracks and sprites? I've attempted to work with an 8-bit and 16-bit style so is there anything you could recommend also?
Creator GalaxyTrail / Strife on February 11
thrasher08 - I don't have time for tutoring, but I can offer a few pointers.
Step 1 - Buy game-making software. Multimedia Fusion 2, Game Maker, and Construct 2 are good choices, but if you need something free, try Construct Classic.
Step 2 - Make games with it. They'll suck at first, but just keep making them. You'll be surprised how quickly you get better at it.
That's pretty much the basics. It took me a decade of trial and error to get the hang of it, since back then I didn't have the internet to be able to ask people questions. But anything's possible with enough practice.
Creator thrasher08 on February 11
Do you have any advice you could offer on how to begin as a game designer? For instance where to start and so forth? Currently I won't be able to take a game design course until I'm in university, so is the there anything you'd suggest to get me started?
Although this may be a long shot, but you never know unless you ask. If it's not too much trouble, could you possibly show me the ropes? I know that's a lot to ask so sorry for being so persistent ^^"
Creator GalaxyTrail / Strife on February 11
DuskWolf - We're grateful to all of our backers who have given up their hard-earned cash in order to help us make this game better, and because of that, we feel that the least we can do is share as much as we can about the game's development with you guys. Afterall, it doesn't really do any harm except maybe making things less of a surprise to our backers.
You're most welcome, and thank you!
Creator DuskWolf - Wifwolf of Original Sin on February 11
I have to say, you guys have thus far been one of my favourite feeds. It's not just that you update a lot, but it's with a lot of pertinent information. I mean, a lot of Spaceventure's many updates are just marketing spam, and that gets a little irritating after a while, and some projects are very sparse with their updates. But you guys have been consistent with showing us your work and not actually spamming us for the sake of spamming us. I find that commendable, and I thank you for it.
Creator Dablue on February 10
Someone rob a bank and donate 9k.. you know you want to .
Creator thrasher08 on February 10
Are there any plans for multiplayer? Co-operative, racing and fighting for example. If so would there be split screen, LAN or online multpilayer? Also will there be score boards showing best time or score for levels/boss rush mode
Creator Logan Hanning on February 10
Congrats on hitting over 10X your goal :D
