Hey everyone,
Since things are winding down, and I'm talking about the last few days, I'm starting to see a little more activity on the site. I have been working with my friend Kazem to design the cocoon structure for the set, and with Byron to map out the projection art. The two elements are so intertwined...this is a real learning experience for me:) I feel like I'm gonna be way smarter after doing this video! Kirsty is dreaming up beautiful costumes and Mimi and I are working out so that we look our best in the video! The space is almost confirmed and we're hoping that it will lead us to the lighting equipment that we seek. I still need to find giant amounts of white spandex for the cocoon, so if anyone has a source, please let me know!
Last weekend was filled with shows! We played at Aubergine in Sebastopol to a high energy crowd of dancers, and the moves were equally sick (if not sicker) at Brick and Mortar in San Francisco! Josh, Zach and Ananta have really stepped up and have been bringing the funk and rock like never before! We will be travelling to Portland and Eugene at the end of October, so please alert your friends in the area once you see the dates on the website.
I'm playing a free show for YOU this saturday at Lower Hater in San Francisco! (the corner of Haight and Steiner) AFTERNOON - times TBA
Also, I'll be in LA on September 9th and 10th...those dates are already on the calendar!

We've only got 8 more days! Let's make it happen! Please tell your friends about this project... a lot of people forget and get busy and then they miss out on the fun:(
Many thanks,
Gabby!
p.s. I got a question yesterday about kickstarter: "I haven't seen any debit from my account and I've made two different pledges!"
A: Kickstarter holds your pledge until the last day of the campaign. The artist will ONLY receive funding if they reach their goal amount. That means that if they do not reach their goal, you will not be charged.
