Update #13: 15 Minutes of Flame lights up the Sun Valley Film Festival

Posted on March 18

http://www.kmvt.com/news/local/Filmmaker-Shares-Story-About-15-Minutes-To-Flame-Entering-Sun-Valley-Film-Festival-143077656.html

There are a lot of things that make the Sun Valley Film Festival special.

It was the first one ever, and so I went in person, because I am all about popping cherries. Special thanks to the organizers Dana, Monica, and Laura...

ANYWAY, what I learned: it was my FIRST TIME EVER sitting in a theater with my OWN work on a giant screen and so I could not have predicted that I would be so sensitive and in tune with the audience reaction. Like every time they laughed or made comments at the screen, I took it personally IN A GOOD WAY - the laughing and comments were the same sort of interaction you would want in a Rocky Horror KInd of Way. I could not get enough of the feedback. Luckily it was uber well received and to my secret happiness, 20% of the theater got up and left AFTER my short film - not bothering to stay for the main feature film, even though they paid full price - which means people came out just to support it, and Burning Man. We are taking over the world...

Burners UNITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh so now i am hooked on filmmaking - because of that audience feedback.

i can't imagine how horrible it would have been if they DIDN'T like it.

also i was stoked that even though it was shot and edited entirely using ONLY an iPhone 4 - when blown up to a giant theater sized screen, it is not pixelated. Whoever came up with the term "Apple of my Eye" must have foreseen the iPhone camera...

Also Veronica Grey has been asked to judge films at the http://www.vmsplay.com/ShortFilmChannel

She is totally gonna celebrate all December !!! WOO HOO!!! Hare Krishna!!!!

if you wanna know where, look for her in the surf in front of these hotels in Costa Rica:
Tamarindo Vista Villas
Ecoplaya Beach Resort

and

Kamuk in Quepos !!!
Thank you Trevor Bernard and all these hotels for sponsoring her celebration!!!!!!!!!!!!

Update #10: Watch out Thirty Seconds to Mars - we're also going for a Guinness Record

Posted on October 20, 2011

Congratulations to Gandhi Warhol's friends, Thirty Seconds to Mars for setting a Guinness World Record for playing the most shows in a single tour (300 in 2 years. HOLY CRAP!)

Gandhi Warhol (aka Veronica Grey) is very happy for her boys, and not just because they allowed her to virtually "rape" them:
http://www.IMDB.me/TomoMilicevic
http://www.IMDB.me/ShannonLeto

Paybacks are a b$tch? We'll see. She's holding a Golden Ticket for their Guinness Record Celebration Show on December 7 at the Hammerstein in NYC.

But she has a World Record of her own to celebrate. "15 Minutes of Flame" is the VERY FIRST FILM on IMDB that lists iPhone4 as its medium. WOO HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Andy Warhol who loved the camera and capturing random slices of life would be very proud: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2082153/
The trailer is up there too.

We still aren't screening it publicly - only at Film Festivals. Diehards can buy the DVD if they want for about a thousand dollars: http://www.amazon.com/15-Minutes-Flame-Veronica-Grey/dp/B005SV62GW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1319156318&sr=8-1
So we may also be setting a World Record for most expensive video. And no one even had to be naked...well...nevermind.

Sometimes folks are impressed by awards, accomplishments, and degrees. Yes I have those, including a BA from UCLA, but what impresses me most, is the perfect day surfing. Surfing and coming home to one's significant other is impeccable. At times people ask, "What do you do?" To me, it is not about what you do, it is about who you are. So to try to sum that up is like trying to have fast food sushi. Which by the way, consider not eating fish, since 90% of the big fish in the sea is going extinct thanks to human consumption. But if you are going to have fast food sushi, believe it or not, the cheap packaged crap at 7-11 that is IMITATION crab tastes pretty good. I am not sure what imitation crab is, but at least no sea creatures or planet was harmed by its consumption. If the depletion of ocean resources is not bothersome to you, be aware that fish love to eat what bigger fish defecate or puke up. So what you are really eating is not just fish, but their sh*t. Aside from this rant, I am the second documented person in the world to use the word "Superartist" to describe myself. Some dude named Andy Warhol is the first. I appreciate you reading this and for your interest; ending with a quote from "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" by Douglas Adams: "So long and thanks for all the fish."
