Friday July 20 Update
Hello Kickstarters,
Today's regular Friday update has some great news! Keep reading for all of the information.

All molds are complete! We have also run 'First Shots' on all plastic components. This refers to the first shots of plastic into the mold to produce parts. As we mentioned last week, one of our engineers is at the factory in China this week and has reviewed these first samples. There are a few minor items we need to address, such as the Micro|CAPS being a little loose on the connector end. But these types of minor details are always to be expected with a project like this.
Here are photos for a few of the first shots and injection molds.

The factory will now begin making minor mold modifications from our review of the first shots and producing 50 production samples of each Bobine version.
In Other News
Packaging photography and graphic design is complete and has been sent to our packaging vendor to begin production. Below is an image of the box front of Une Bobine - For iPhone.

Justin - We do plan to offer as much of a discount as possible to our backers on whatever the future Une Bobine would be if we need to come out with a new one.
Creator Justin Scott on July 26, 2012
I am pretty concerned about the new adapter too. I'd hate for my brand new Une Bobine to be useless in two months.
Creator Jon Fawcett + [Fuse]Chicken on July 26, 2012
It will be interesting if this latest rumor about Apple making their own adapter is true.
Creator Kalle Kenkel on July 26, 2012
let's hope there'll be an adapter which "works" with Une Bobine..
Creator Jon Fawcett + [Fuse]Chicken on July 23, 2012
Yes we've been watching these rumors closely. Only time will tell once the new phone comes out to determine what we need to change for the next version.
Creator Bhavik Dhokia on July 23, 2012
Looks like you might need a new connector for the next iPhone. - http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/tech/news/a394661/apple-expected-to-fit-smaller-connector-in-new-iphone.html
Creator Jon Fawcett + [Fuse]Chicken on July 20, 2012
Yeah, we're used to dealing with both also. I guess you're right that it will never fully change.
Creator BrightonPete on July 20, 2012
Even with Canada changing over to metric way back in 1976, we still weigh ourselves in pounds, see temperatures in fahrenheit, and buy stuff by the foo\t or inch. We'll never lose sight of imperial measurements.
Can't wait to see my 24-inch bobine!
Creator Jon Fawcett + [Fuse]Chicken on July 20, 2012
Sorry - it didn't even cross our minds being in the US. I do wish we'd just change to metric already!
Creator Michel on July 20, 2012
A little astonished to see that the packaging is "24 inch (60 cm)" and not the expected international "60 cm (24 inch)"

Thanks Roman and Kishor!
Creator Roman Serebryakov on July 20, 2012
Good job on keeping up with the production! I know it's a lot of work for you guys, but you are doing amazing! Can't wait when I get mine, but as always, it takes time to deliver a quality product. I would rather wait another month just for that reason :) thanks!!!
Creator Kishor on July 20, 2012
Great!
