We have had a lot of questions about landscape and other uses. Everyone has seen the coiled desk position from the project page, so we decided to create another video for all of you showing the different positioning and uses on a desk. These are using our new set of functional prototypes. We had to build more because we shipped all of our previous prototypes out. Please don't be alarmed by the black USB end. Part of the funding goal is needed to create the injection molded housings for the connector.
We are still waiting on final costs from the factory for the extension cable and will post that information as soon as we have it.

Josh, since nobody knows other than probably 2 people at Apple, it is hard to say what we'll need to do. But we have a few plans in mind already.

If the rumors are true that the iPhone 5 will be larger, it will also be heavier, and it may also have a different dock connector... hopefully that doesn't mess up your plans too badly.

The iPad is much too heavy to hold by the connector like this. But we have some ideas for a future product that might solve that.

Gagan, Yes. there are a few shots of this in the video, on a desk and at the top of a monitor, as well as a photo in Update #4 showing landscape position.

Chris, these are all working prototypes. We do not have the finished products in yet. The funding goal is to build the injection molds for the USB and iPhone connector housings. Both ends will be very nice molded white connectors.
