Acoustic and electric parts of the album have been recorded and mixed. Mastering is the next step and the most tedious part of the project awaits us; planning strategy for marketing and promotions.

This stage is very critical to the difference between a great product that sits on a shelf versus one that has the opportunity to reach a wider audience. This part of the process is going to take the longest time as we are going to carefullly plan our campaign which may very well include the backing of a label/management company.

Will always keep you updated and a survey will soon be sent to gather information necessary to be begin the fufillment of various items in the reward packages.

Here's this week's video update of the Soireé choir comprised of my very talented friends here in austin doing background vocals for certain songs.

Our update is a little but funny video of me doing vocals for "Love Blues".

Yesterday, We were able to step away from the studio for a double duty: Play the International Harmonica Convention with Michael Rubin and also a Full Band gig in Dallas. We drove back home yesterday as well, getting to Austin at 4:30am.Fun times!

Recording and mixing of the acoustic section has been completed and we are in the electric stages. I am proud of the production of the songs and looking forward to sharing.

At this time, the band is also beginning to look at places for mastering,marketing/publicist/promotion strategies and even open to the idea of a record label.

I hope you are finding shade from this very hot summer. Texas summer days are so hot that i always wish i was somewhere else but once the evening sets in, i remember why i havent left.

This weeks' video update is what i call "The Gospel According to Michael Rubin". Michael Rubin is the Harmonica Player in the band and loves me being in the tracking room to gives directions and conduct when he records. It creates some sort of a "Call and Response". So here he is doing what he does(my favourite is when he does his leg kick! make sure you wait for it!)  an me conducting the hypnosis.

I have been MIA because, thanks to YOUR SUPPORT, we have spent the last 3 weeks in the studio laying down the foundation (rhythm section) for the albums and every thing is going as planned but still far from a date. 

We are recording at NEST RECORDING, out in Dripping Springs with JT HOLT(Owner/Producer) and Nic Jay(Engineer/Producer). The studio is amazing and we have a creative team that is always thinking "SONG FIRST". The drive from Austin to the studio is so peaceful (minus traffic) that even after long 8-10 hour days, we are able to relax and just be.

 Been so involved in the process that i haven’t posted any updates yet but it all begins today.

This whole process has been made VERY special because of you and has our fire burning even brighter. We are tackling our songs in a way that we have always wanted but couldnt.afford to.

May your Funding sources be replenished and if in Austin this thursday, come say Hi at Strange Brew. I'll be playing a acoustic set from 9=10:30pm
