Posted this on the other comments thread but hiruki / Angel Imaz keeps posting on our public comments thread after relaying all information by email so we need to clear the air. Angel told us to ship to ADLISWIL, SWITZERLAND. We told him months ago that the laser was ready for shipment and we were waiting for a shipping label or pickup instructions. We were instructed by email to hold onto it while he was getting funds ready for shipping.
Months later he asks for us to ship it for free or wire money back to his SWISS bank account and complaining about a crisis in SPAIN.
While changing financial situations are unfortunate, money was spent building the machine and fees deducted from the Kickstarter campaign. Under the Kickstarter rules there are no refunds for pledges once the product is made as the pledge money was used to produce the machine.
We have produced ALL rewards promised under the campaign and happily supporting all new customers.
We'll contact Kickstarter to see if we can issue a refund but we only issue it back to the original payment source and not wire money to a SWISS account (especially under the suspicious circumstances of saying he is from SPAIN).
We have always been dedicated to providing a quality working product and kept the promise o producing a quality well designed and well supported product.

Hello Full Spectrum Laser!
I still want a reply from the team! I really hope not! Because if this how you treat the backers that have supported you when you requested for help! I am really disappointed and if I would have known I would deal with such EGO's I would have definitely not given you a cent!
I have backet 113 projects in kickstarter! You have backed 5! So don't come lecture me about how kickstarter works! Because you are the only project who is treating the backers like this! From 113 I would say that is the exception rather than the rule!
Is Henry representing the whole team? If yes he has chosen not to help a backer when in need.
The truth is that you broke the agreement we initially had when you did not meet the September date which you chose! And started shipping 2 months later of that! I had all the money ready for the shipping and importing on that date September 2012. The date you freely chose and provided to us all the backers! So don't come and tell me that you are keeping an agreement you have already broken! Is not true!
Now I have asked for help since I don't have the money to send to you for the shipping or further import expenses! I did had the money allocated for September 2012 which is the agreement you had!
I have kindly asked for help which means, please sell my laser to somebody else (this was months ago) if you have not done that already, which is most likely!
I have as well asked what is going to happen if I can not come across the money! Obviously I can not pick up the laser when I am on the other side of the world so don't talk things that you know are not possible!
So is really simple! YOU are choosing to not help somebody who helped you when you asked! When I know is an easy task for you! A lot easier for you to sell the laser to somebody else than for me when I don't have the money! (If you have not done already done so!).
SPAIN is in a huge crisis! Read the newspapers and you will see! And the 3200$ I really need! So like you asked for help and I provided help now is your turn!
Leave the EGO's aside! And be human!
I know you will help me because that is the right thing to do!
If you choose not to! I want the same team who asked for my help on the video to tell me one by one with their own words and minds that they choose not to help me!
If that is the case and you choose not to help me! You can keep the laser and the money!
As I don't want nothing to do with people like that! I am sure you will lose a lot more than a customer who supported you when you asked for help and 3200$ (You have not lost at all because, I know it would be easy for you to fix if you wanted, at this stage is just a power trip from one person!).
Be happy!

Would anyone who missed the early offers be interested in purchasing my unit? It came in sometime in the last few weeks (been out of the country) and it is still in it's unopened shipping container. I originally purchased it with some holiday projects in mind and that didn't pan out due to late shipping. Just don't need it at the moment due to other work.
If interested send an email to jdfoote21 AT gmail DOT com
Creator Michael Barnathan on January 10
Just received mine! It was packed pretty nicely. I'll set it up, check the alignment, and give it a whirl on Monday.
Creator Michael Barnathan on January 2
Have any others received their lasers since December? I'm still waiting for mine and wondering if I was somehow left out of the queue.
Creator Marc Olivier Chouinard on December 13
Gregg, I must say that the early unit I received wasn't that bad... I STILL have issue with alignment and getting good engraving result. Lot of stupid issue with RetinaEngrave I wish I could have the source code and just fix it for good(and share back my improvement)... I heard lot of bad comment about RetinaEngrave crashing all the time, but I've use it on Win8 from the start and it crashed only once... I did try to get it to work on a win 7 machine and oh boy did it keep crashing all the time... I just gave up and stick doing laser job from my Win8 machine. They finally release a new version 2 day ago, yet the release note doesn't really talk about the stuff that bugged me... I'll give it a try and hope it lot better. But what annoyed me the most is the print quality. It not horrible, but far from production quality, and understanding what to adjust based on the visual print result is not well documented. But the visual build quality of my laser cutter was great... Only issue is maybe that the X axis section is maybe a tiny bit twisted and cause the platform not to sit flat on the wheel, require more tension on the wheel so it sit straight. OR maybe it one of my wheel that is defective and a little bit smaller than the other one... I got a wheel replacement set already for my head, maybe I should have ask it too for the bottom wheel too... It very time expensive when trying to do adjustment since you endup needing to recalibrate it again.
Creator Gregg on December 13
Finally got mine last week... build quality is not good. Touch panel is all scratched from being stacked up with other ones on the assembly tech's bench. Cabinet is scratched with greasy fingerprints all over. Belt very loose on right side, and belt bracket is cocked because it is being held by only one screw... the other one was stripped upon assembly with that screw rolling around in the case with little shards of metal still in the threads. Y axis stepper motor was not connected. RED LED laser is installed wrong and hits its adjustment limits way before it is co-linear with IR laser. Dichroic mirror is chipped on the edge. IR laser was well aligned on receipt, so these are not the result of shipping damage, just a sloppy build. I love RetinaEngrave and its controller. Could be a good laser if these issues were not present. Left message for FSL two days ago but no response on issues.

It's possible some emails get caught in the spam folder or misdirected to the wrong person. Give FSL a call at 702-605-0644 if you don't hear back within 48hrs on emails. We have around 20 people working 9-6pm so you should be able to reach someone no problem during standard business hours.
Creator Michael Barnathan on December 12
I'm still not getting any responses to my emails from Full Spectrum whatsoever. All I'm asking for is a status update, and they've been completely silent since last month.
Creator Trent Feist on December 10
After the comment below I emailed Full Spectrum to find out what was going on. It turns out Amazon was holding the money and Full Spectrum got it resolved. I spoke with Aurora and Henry and both were very helpful. They got the problem fixed and went above and beyond to take care of me. The laser was shipped out on Friday and should arrive tomorrow. I will update everyone once I receive it and get it set up.
Creator Full Spectrum Laser on December 4
Trent Feist was not shipped because his pledge money did not go through and he told us not to ship it. All other rewards were shipped or are shipping on revised estimate / time. We had some batch of lower power tubes so had to reorder those as we wanted to have good QC and ship good machines but we're back on track. E-mail accounting@fslaser.com or call 702-605-0644 about your particular queue spot.
Creator Trent Feist on December 4
I'm still waiting as well. The issue isn't missing the timeline as much as it is the lack of communication about it. It's been pretty frustrating to have been told in early October that it would be 5-6 weeks and still I haven't received my laser. I had lots of plans for it that are now shot or way behind not to mention being out the money for this long. Again, I understand that the timelines were estimates but not keeping all of us informed isn't good business.
The other issue is this statement found on their website:
"Note: This unit is in production (lasers are made every day) but is backordered due to high demand. Estimated Standard Shipping is 6-8 weeks (expedited production option available, +10%, ships in 1-2 weeks). There is a huge demand for our new model so order now to get in the queue."
This makes it seem like someone could order a unit today, pay the extra ~$300 and have it shipped in 1-2 weeks when the early bird orders haven't been filled from Kickstarter. When I asked FS for clarification on this I got no response. I think so much of this comes down to communication and there hasn't been much of that at all.
Hopefully the laser works as promised when it arrives!
Creator John Chen on December 4
Still waiting for mine too, but I may be the last early bird. Is any other early birds still waiting? Sent them a couple of emails, but no replies so far.
Creator Michael Lyle on December 2
Received my laser unexpectedly Friday (no shipment notification).
The good:
Good build quality/mechanicals. There were drops of water in the laser tube so it was obviously tested before it was shipped. Parts come out very nice. I like the focus block arrangement.
The meh:
CHECK THE CABLES TO THE BOARDS ON THE RIGHT. I had a lot of trouble figuring out why the motion system "kind of" worked-- turned out that the limit switch cable was popped off. Getting adequate ventilation yet avoiding vibration and excessive airflow blowing things around is hard. There was no shipment notification and the original shipment timeline was badly missed.
Creator Michael Barnathan on November 30
Zeke: Myself as well. I'm assuming that they will eventually ship (I was one of the last early bird backers), though I was at least hoping for updates and a response to the email that I sent.
Creator Zeke Koch on November 29
I'm sadly still waiting for my laser. On October 11th they said that it would be 5-6 weeks. I've now hit the 7th week without any news. I've sent a few emails, but haven't received any responses yet. I suppose that the good news is that it sounds like some lasers are going out and that I'm not alone...
Creator Jeffrey Olijar on November 26
I received my laser a few days ago. When it arrived the mirrors were quite a bit out of whack but it was extremely easy to align. Every bit as good as it looks.
Creator Romklau Nagamati on November 20, 2012
Speaking of the devil, Grace just replied. My machine should ship next week. For those keeping tap, I received the email that estimate 3-4 weeks. So, they're running a little behind but it's understandable.
Creator Romklau Nagamati on November 20, 2012
Interesting @Jeffrey. Are you an Ultra early bird or an early bird? You were about 5-10 behind me on the Backers' list and yet I have received nothing and it's 1-2 weeks passed the estimate given in email they sent a while back.
I've sent a couple of emails to Grace whom refered me to Aurora and then heard nothing back.
Creator Jeffrey Olijar on November 19, 2012
Just received shipping notice. It looks like it will be delivered on Friday.
Creator Jeffrey Olijar on November 14, 2012
I just got off the phone with Aurora from FSL. Apparently they are waiting on some more 40w Laser tubes and my order will ship by the end of next week. That is one week later then what they projected to me. Their phone system seems to be bugged but pressing 0 got me a real person. I'll post updates as I get them.
Creator Paul O. on November 9, 2012
Any updates ?
Creator Jeffrey Olijar on November 6, 2012
@chevykid you might just have to call them they don't seem to check here or they probably would have answered some of the other questions. If you do call ask how many lasers still need to be shipped out.
Creator Chevykid on November 5, 2012
anyone heard anything. on the 3-4 weeks email I got, thursday will be 4 weeks for me
Creator Michael Lyle on October 24, 2012
@Steven-- thanks a lot, that helps. Yes, I'm well prepared to align and use the laser; just really anxious to receive it and get it going!
Creator Steven Draper on October 24, 2012
@Michael Lyle and Others:
I received an email in the morning saying my laser was shipped yesterday afternoon along with the fedex tracking #. Also attached was an pdf copy of the invoice. My item arrived that same day as the email. (I live in So Cal so it didn't have very far to travel). Packaging was done very well to insure no items from breaking but i think it was almost too good!! HAHA They used some sort of foam filament to lock the parts inside of the laser. I had to cut the foam in half to get the foam and parts out. Not a big deal as i rather it be more secure then not at all just an FYI if you have the same probleml!! After that I read the directions including for unpacking an setting up, the machine. I'd recommend going on fslaser.com to download and print out the manual for the 5th gen laser so you are ready to play with it once it arrives. Assuming you have all the recommend parts like a bucket, a few gallons of distilled water, air pump, air mover if needed etc. I probably read the manual 5 times before even messing with anything just to make sure i didn't miss anything. Hope this helps, i know everyone is very anxious as i was. I can only imagine the things we can do with this machine, and can wait to see everyone's designs. It has been alot of fun so far, still a fairly big learning curve for me. The biggest now is learning how to design/draw what i want to use as an engrave or cut. Using the laser is maybe 10-15% of the actually work if that.
Creator Michael Lyle on October 23, 2012
Jeffrey: It can't ship in 3-5 days without jumping ahead of Kickstarter participants.
To anyone who received their laser-- what was the process like? Did they contact you before shipping to confirm your order? Did you receive a tracking number? I'd really appreciate an answer so I can better gauge what to expect.
Creator Jeffrey Olijar on October 22, 2012
This clip is taken from the store page. They are only taking preorders or at least that is how I read it. The extra $350 puts you in front of preorders but behind the Kickstarter participants. I am sure the FSL team will jump on and correct me if I am wrong.
"Note: This is for a Preorder. Estimated Standard Shipping in 4-6 weeks (expedited production option available, +10%, ships in 3-5 days). There is a huge demand for our new model so order now to get in the queue."
Creator Michael Lyle on October 22, 2012
Steven, and others who have received your lasers: did you receive a tracking number or other notice that the laser would be shipping out?
I am a little bummed that FSL is charging a premium to allow new orders to jump the kickstarter queue-- it's not really compatible with the expectations originally set, especially since we are past the original delivery time.
Creator Steven Draper on October 18, 2012
Laser are coming I received my laser last week but i was an ultra bird, its deffiantly worth the wait!! Im sure everyone's will be coming soon. I love it so far only have played with it a little bit but have already got most of basics down!! I love it so far and can only imagine all the things i can do with this. I already ordered a whole bunch of items on www.laserbits.com. I'm planning on making ornaments for my entire family.
See some pictures of items i have laser engraved:

Dear FS Laser Team. I wanted to thank you for the update emails that went out last week. I had posted a comment asking for more regular updates and that same day I was provided a shipping estimate for my laser. It sounds like you guys are doing all you can to get the lasers to us as quickly as possible while maintaining the level of quality control that you want to provide. I would rather get a solid laser a little later than a problematic laser shipped sooner.
I do have a couple of concerns that I hope you can resolve. On your website it states that the New Hobby Laser is currently in pre-order status and that standard shipping is 4-6 weeks. That is shorter than a lot of the estimates you sent out to us last week, including mine, yet you have had the Kickstarter money since the end of September. Shouldn't our orders ship before any placed on the website after you received the Kickstarter funds? Second, it says that for $350.00 you can expedite the shipping to 3-5 days. I also hope that you are not shipping expedited orders placed on the website after you received the Kickstarter funds before you ship the Kickstarter orders that were prepaid. Also keep in mind that our accounts were debited on September 9th. While you didn't receive those funds due to the restrictions with Amazon and Kickstarter they were still taken out of our accounts. Both of these things have me concerned about making good on the orders placed on Kickstarter. I understand that you took orders from the website at the same time you took orders on Kickstarter and the website orders have now been fulfilled according to your comment below. It seems that the only orders you should be working on are the Kickstarter orders and that no expedited orders or web orders placed after the close of Kickstarter should be fulfilled until all Kickstarter orders have been met. Is that the case or am I off base? Clarification would help to put all of us that have pledged to make this project possible at ease and also feel assured that you are going to take care of us before a standard customer through your website.
Creator Dag Geisler on October 12, 2012
I got also one with following statement :Your order is scheduled to go out in about 7-8 weeks from now.
Sorry FSL guys i count exakt 65 Lasers over KS excluded the Ultra Early Bird... if you can assemble 15 Lasers a week and you will only do the KS orders you need about 4-5 Weeks from now to finish KS. After you started KS orders to ship no other orders could come in between. Now i got an shipdate which is longer than promised on your shop if i will order it over the shop (4-6 weeks). I have decided to get your laser because it was available relativ soon( I have aked before). now i will have a time of delievery from nearly 3 month. I need the machine for different projects. So please sort all this out....
regards Dag
Creator Jeffrey Olijar on October 12, 2012
I received an email stating that it would be about 4-5 weeks before my laser will ship out. I admit I am not the most patient person but I am sure full spectrum is doing their best to fill our orders as fast and as high a quality as possible. As disappointed as I am that its going to be awhile before I can start my business, I would rather have a quality product then have a rushed product. On another note I have been watching youtube waiting for some videos and I found this one. https://www.youtube.com/watch…
Creator Full Spectrum Laser on October 11, 2012
We send out very conservative estimates on shipping times. Better to under promise and over deliver in our communications. We anticipate most people should get it earlier.
Remember this is USA assembled stuff and several engineers look at the machine for QC before sending it out. We could have outsourced this and made them 10x faster but then we don't have the quality control and insight on what we can improve.
Thanks again for your patience!

did i say this wasn't real?
Creator David Gaipa on October 11, 2012
@Chevykid, I got my laser this week and I am very happy with it. The laser was extraordinarily well packed. the accessories were well packed and it is clear that the new packing and shipping method is very well thought out. Everything has a well secured place in the box.
The lasers are real and they are shipping. I haven't completed setup and usage testing yet, but I really hope you aren't going to ask for (pics or it didn't happen) or something of the like.
The cutouts on the front of the unit are especially cool. the laser looks pretty awesome. I think I am going to add some lights to it or something at some point to spice it up.

Okay, let say all Ultra bird are done as of today and i'm #22 on the list with 15 a week that would make mine shipped in about 1.5 weeks. (1.5X15=22.5). So why do i get an email of 3-4 weeks? that would make it middle of November.
Creator Full Spectrum Laser on October 11, 2012
As mentioned previously, the 30 units constructed were not allocated for Kickstarter pledges and used to fulfill preorders / beta test during our mini production run as detailed in the video. Some of these units were a learning experience during the beta test. No product is perfect at the beginning so we took the opportunity to use the first units to figure out what went wrong during shipping and what typical problems customers would have.
Since the initial 30 units were shipped, we have done the following improvements: better manuals/videos for customer setup, changed foam tube mounts to injection molded tube mounts, changed styrofoam packaging to sealed air urethane foam packaging, improved machined wheels and bearings, detailed QC checklist and procedures. All these learning experiences during the prototype to production run improves the product so when you receive it that you have the best experience.
We allocated orders when we received payments as it was possible for Kickstarter backers to cancel their pledges before the close of the Kickstarter.
So the procedure was:
1) Money received
2) Order placed in queue
3) Order shipped in order placed in the queue
In addition to Kickstarter, we accepted preorder sales of the new hobby laser directly on our website in parallel to the Kickstarter campaign so these were also queued in the same order. These direct orders shipped sooner because we received the funds immediately and the queue was shorter. New regular orders of course are placed after all Kickstarter orders since the Kickstarter pledges were converted to orders.
After receiving funds from Kickstarter, we converted pledges to orders and put them in the queue.
Typically on a new product, you must:
0) Build the prototype and make a Kickstarter campaign
1) Order parts from the design (note this can take several months)
2) Build machines
3) QC machines
4) Get customer feedback about what breaks in the machines
5) Revise machine builds from the prototype design
6) Reorder new parts
7) Reship more machines
8) Hire more employees
9) Build a factory/assembly line to house these new employees
10) Train these employees and build machines
11) Ship regular orders
We did 1-10 during the same time as the Kickstarter was running to expedite the shipment of rewards even before receiving the funds based on the expectation the Kickstarter would fund successfully.
We watched other projects miss their estimated deadlines by 6-8+ months due to the Kickstarter success and we planned everything in advance to make the wait as short as possible and stay on track.
Remember behind the scene there is a lot to building machines and we can welcome any Kickstarter to visit us in Las Vegas and see the assembly line and procedures at our Las Vegas office.
As mentioned all Ultra Early birds already shipped and we are working hard at all Early bird orders in the order the pledges were received at a rate of approximately 3 per day.
Please let us know if you have additional questions and thank you again for your pledges. Give us a call between 9am-6pm PST if you have urgent concerns to talk to a real person.
Thank you again for your support!

On sept 5 you said you have parts for 100 units and as of sept 5 you already have 30 made, so now 5 weeks later (which you say you make 15 a week that’s 75) so that would be 30+75=105. Ultra bird lasers is 10 & Early bird is 59 that is 69 units. So why did I get an email saying I will get mine in 4 weeks! I'm #22 on the early birds so that’s only 32 units. Even if you made no units and are just now started to make 15 units a week, it still doesn't add up. Something is FISHY here!!!

All Ultra bird lasers have already shipped and should be in the hands of their new owners now.
Our current output is around 3 machines a day ~ 15 machines a week. Shipping@fslaser.com or accounting@fslaser.com can answer specific questions about your order. Better e-mail sales@fslaser.com or call 702-605-0644 if for some reason you don't get an email response.
We have 15 people in our Las Vegas office so there's always someone there in case your e-mail got caught in a spam filter or something.

I read the last update from a week ago. I am one of the early bird backers and am wondering when you expect to have the early birds fulfilled? I sent an email to you guys a few weeks ago with updated shipping information and such and haven't heard anything back. A weekly update would be nice. Thanks so much.

We have shipped all Ultra Early Birds and working on the Early Birds now. UK deliveries are same time line as all order pledges. Thanks again for the support!

Dear FSLTeam,
it is possible to get a watermark, how far you got with shipping. I think all backers are waiting to get the laser so we can all get productive!
regards Dag

Hello,
Would you have any ETA for your UK deliveries
I appreciate you would prefer not to post here but is there any chance you could let me know some how.
Thanks

After looking through the comments i see recommended units for the exhaust requirements and some specs on the Air compressors, but do you have some recommendations for the Air compressors?
Would like to be ready when i get mine to start using it, and not spend weeks trying to find support equipment to run this laser unit.

september 8th, plus 19 days... is the 27th give or take a day? So hopefully we can hear an update next week?
Creator Jeffrey Olijar on September 17, 2012
That's a little disappointing but understandable... If you guys have had amazon payments for 6 months you can apply to have the hold removed. not sure if that applies to you guys. Anyways you should probably post a project update so that your post doesn't get lost in the comments. Also if you have a little time maybe you can upload a few more pictures. Oh and Congrats on your successful campaign.

Kickstarter has a 14 day hold + 5 day back transfer = 19 days so we are waiting until this finishes before shipping Kickstarter orders. We assembled around 35 units and shipped these preorders to our customers that paid prior to kickstarter (eg SF Makerfaire). This "mini production" run as detailed in the video allowed us to figure out what problems can go wrong with the machines during shipping to improve our shipping practices as well as figure out what common problems customers can have to improve our manuals and out of box experience. We anticipate having many available machines and shipping the ultra early birds and some early birds within a week of the funds being released. As stated before and have 3 full time assembly staff so are making them as fast as we can without sacrificing on QC and quality. Thanks again for the support!

Congratulations on the success of your KS campaign! I have been wanting to purchase one of your laser machines for almost a year now. The new model gave me the motivation to finally do it.
Will you be contacting us to specify where to ship to? I am moving in the next couple of weeks and will need to provide a new address, let me know the best way to do that.
Also, when do you anticipate shipping?
