      Any news on when we will be seeing our rewards? I am really, really excited to watch this film. I told my Ultimate Frisbee team that when I get the DVD, there will be a showing at my place. Would love to set a date. Thanks!

      @Robbie - you're speaking from an insider POV. You have to look at this film and Frisbee as we all did when we discovered it. The film makers are creating something for the masses not frisbee players. So the fact that they've been able to communicate the big question on every new bees mind into 6 words, is actually pure genius. They aren't concluding that Frisbee is an art or a sport, they're doing their jobs by offering an unbiased take in an entertaining way, by asking the question everyone asks at some point in the game. I play disc golf professionally and understand the obstacles of convincing sponsors, government, friends, and family to see it as a sport. Frisbee - an art or a sport? Anyone that's been doing this long enough will tell you that it's both.

      Keep up the good work guys, your contribution will truly be revolutionary!
      Best,

      Hey Jan and the others, Thanks for "The Making of..." The only thing missing in your film material so far is the "next generation"! To see how much fun this sport is enjoyed by 10 to 19 year olds, come by the traditional Pfingstturnier in Massenbach on 12th and 13th of June to catch it on film. Greetings from "somewhere near Heilbronn". Jan, you will feel right at home.
      Keep ut UP!

      Hey there Dave Delay: I'm honored that you would use my illustration as your thumbnail but I don't really like that oddly colored version. If you want a nice clean copy of the original, let me know.

      Glas I was able to help out. The ebay sales of a few of my old discs enabled me to hit the $250 level. Gee, I wonder it there will be any pictures of the Minisota Pole Hole in it. http://tinyurl.com/minisota (I've been making them since 1989)

      Hey, I backed this project a little while ago because it reminded me of the project I am working on (and because it seemed like a good idea plus your trailer was great). Anyways, I wanted to share with you my project on YoYo players competing in the World YoYo contest. Our film is called Strings: A YoYo Documentary. Our website is www.stringsthefilm.com and our Kickstarter is https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1138397233/strings-a-yo-yo-documentary . Thanks and GOOD LUCK!

      @ Robbie.....do not take 'your' sport too serious. FREE your mind and your STYLE will follow.... ;
      ....and please, ask more questions but do not give such 'silly' comments.
      Makki Hein, Professional Frisbee Player....of what ?! Throw'n Catch!! That's the common ground...let it fly and enjoy it's landing.
      THX guys for giving soo much effort in this project.

      Thanks Robbie for your comment!
      We are primarily focusing on the history of ALL disc sports,
      will keep on asking "silly" questions and will by no means damage any disc sport.
      But thanks for your concern!

      There's some great potential in here but I hope if it does go ahead the flmmakers can focus their goals a lot more than they seem to have done so far. "The Invisible String will feature the most influential players in the US, Europe and Japan" - players of what?

      There are at least four disc sports that I know of, most of the interviews seem to be from guys who do freestyle but there's also a good bit of ultimte footage in there, which as a sport has as much common ground with freestyle as basketball does with (ball) golf.

      I really hope the final product won't lump all disc sports into one like this trailer does and ask silly, vacuous questions like 'Is frisbee a sport?' That would be deeply damaging for the image of Ultimate, which I play, and I suspect every other disc sport as well.
