Only 26 Hours To Go!
Well, things are winding up and tomorrow morning at 11:01 this Kickstarter project will end--fully funded. My gratitude is huge! And you know it. That's why, over the last month, I've tried to return the love (by buying jewelry and a great retro-surf album and by supporting an Orlando LGBQT youth org). So seriously folks! I want to reciprocate. Whatever business you are doing, whatever band you are in, whatever organization you feel needs supporting--please post it at the end of this update. I won't be able to reach into my wallet all at once, but I feel beholden to you all and definitely want to reciprocate with the support. Just give me time.
This past week we had some new backers, inching the project close to 108% funded. Also, Fresh Pastry Stand beeswax made it into the Huffington Post's Stylelist Home. Fun!
Speaking of time, I am excited that next week the kids head back to school and I will have time to get rocking with the rewards. First things first, though. Week 1 will be spent mold making. Week 2 will be spent making your candles! I am shipping today an early $35 reward that a backer (my sister in law) needs shipped as a thank you gift to a friend. One of those candles is pictured below, semi-wrapped. The other rewards, however, I don't want to ship until I have all my labeling printed, which is going to take a while.
But today I am going to talk to Joey at Mama's Sauce in Orlando to put in the order for the rewards printables. Thats fun.
And, while all the candle stuff is happening, we are also working on the cake stands for our upcoming October 16th Fab.com sale. That means a LOT of plate drilling is going on.
We had a great time together on Kickstarter and I appreciate all the energy you guys gave the project!
