Documentary on CA parks closing and the people that live and work there. Hosted by Robert Hanna, the great-great-grandson of John Muir.

A Mini Documentary "The Fight for Parks" on California's parks closures  and the people that work and enjoy these treasures. Hosted by Robert Hanna, the great-great-grandson of John Muir.

"In May 2011, the California Department of Parks and Recreation released a plan to close 70 of our most treasured state parks due to budget cuts.  Never in our great State’s history has a park been closed, and not even in the Great Depression did California’s leaders elect to place such a dark fate upon these amazing places.

Sadly, each of these parks have been scheduled to close on July 1st, 2012 leaving many people who work in and enjoy these wonderful places with no hope.

Though the fast approaching deadline is upon us, we have an unbelievable opportunity to protect and preserve these treasures, now, and for all future generations to come. All across the state, people are coming together to find solutions that will keep their parks open.

We’re asking for donations to help us fund a high-quality mini documentary "The Fight for Parks". All money raised will go straight into the production and no profits will be made from your generous donations. I sincerely appreciate your help and thank you all for your consideration."

Q: How will the Video be used?

A: The Mini Documentary will be on California's parks closing and the people that work in and enjoy them - hosted by Robert Hanna, the great-great-grandson of John Muir. We have many commitments from various news and web outlets to promote and show the video. The video will also be online at www.RangeofLight.com free of charge to view and share.

---

Q: How long will the length of the video be?

A: Right now we plan on having it be around 5-10 min. But depending on if we go over the $1,250, we'll be able to get to more locations and film more interviews making it longer.

---

Q: What will the $1,250.00 be used for?

A: All donations received will be used toward the production rental costs - equipment, cameras, lighting and sound, etc. All time will be volunteered and no profits will be made from your generous donations.

---

Q: What if you go over the $1,250.00?

A: If we're lucky enough to go over the goal of $1,250.00 all donations will be put back into the production to enhance the final product. This includes music, better camera equipment,  post production, etc.
