Post-E3 update, and 1 week to go!
Hi there Kickstarters!
As the dust settles after a very productive E3, and I wait for my flight home to the UK, I thought I would drop you a quick update on how E3 went, and to share some VERY exciting news!
E3
First up, E3. As this was the first time we have actually taken our game out to the gaming community and industry, we weren't sure how it would be received. During the course of the event, I managed to speak to a lot of people about our team and the project, and I am very pleased to say that everyone I spoke to got very excited about what we are trying to do! I ended up giving out almost 100 business cards, and made some vital contacts across the industry, so the trip was definitely very worthwhile!
Another very exciting part of E3 for me in particular was taking a look at some amazing middleware, including procedural texture engines, animation and AI/Navigation software which all totally blew my mind. Hopefully, if we continue with our kickstarter momentum, and hit our targets, those technologies may make it into our prototype which would really help it to stand out as a polished example of what we can do as a studio!
So, keep those pledges coming in. As always, every buck helps, but we do need to hit our stretch targets so we can secure all of the extra software we need to really make a huge impact, so keep getting the word out there and lets really step this kickstarter up a gear!
Feature Week!
In order to help things along, as we approach our final kickstarter week, we are doing something very special. We are calling this last week: Feature Week!
During the final week of our campaign we will be running through some of the more anticipated features from our feature list, and doing video blogs going into a lot more detail about what they are, how they work, and what cool new things we have in store! We will be cramming in as many as possible, one a day if we can manage it. You have all been SO generous with your pledges and spreading the word, it is the least we can do to say a huge Thank You for all of your support.
So, stay tuned, and keep an eye out as very soon you will have more new information than you know what to do with!
