**IF THIS ALBUM IS FULLY FUNDED, IT WILL BE AVAILABLE IN CD, VINYL, AND DIGITAL FORMAT**

The $3,500 we're attempting to raise will only partially fund this project.

Ideally, we'd like to try and raise $5000 so that we may also cover mastering costs. Due to the nature of Kickstarter, we do not receive any of the funds if we do not meet our funding goal. We're aiming a bit lower in hopes we will at least be able to fund the bulk of this project. Anything more will help towards mastering costs, paying our friends for artwork/music video help, and touring expenses to promote the record.

The album will be engineered by our good friend Gory Smelley at his Marfa Recording Company studios (Y△CHT, Grouper) located in the Chihuahuan Desert desert town of Marfa, TX. We were introduced to Gory as we ended our West Coast tour in Marfa at a benefit for Marfa Public Radio. We toured Gory's studio the following afternoon and fell in love. We appreciated the thought that had gone into the studio, his selection of equipment, and collection of vintage instruments. His darling daughter Olive (the precious babe counting off the video above!) didn't hurt either. We're thrilled at the opportunity to work with Gory!

F O L L O W   T H A T   B I R D:

"Follow That Bird is a three piece band with elements of angular art punk, motorik Kraut, and garage rock through the sun bleached musical landscape of their hometown of Austin."

Follow That Bird consists of Lauren Green (vocals/guitar), Tiffanie Lanmon (drums), & Paul Brinkley (bass). Tiffanie and Lauren have played together since high school (tender ages, y'all), starting with a few breathtaking talent show performances*. Paul joined the band in 2010 (we're all still pretty tender) and as Follow That Bird, we have toured with: Bill Callahan (Smog), ...And You Will Know Us by The Trail of Dead, Ringo Deathstarr, & Dikes of Holland. We have had the pleasure of opening for: Marnie Stern, The Walkmen, Shearwater, The Strange Boys, The Beets, Screaming Females, Times New Viking, Toro y Moi, Jenny Hoysten (Erase Errata/Paradise Island), The Old Haunts (ft Tobi Vail of Bikini Kill), and more.

*FUN FACT:  Lauren and Tiffanie's first ever performance was of Hole's "Malibu".

So basically the only thing we haven't done is a full length record, which is why we come to you! We're broke and you probably are too but the hope is that, for some of your money we give you something that we hope is pretty good in return.

While the goal is $5000, anything extra will also help us with artwork, music video expenses, and touring.
