About this project

Hello there!

We are Ghost Mall. We're a ramshackle pop gang from New Paltz, NY! We want to go on tour and we'll be the first Friendly Neighborhood Records band to ever do it! We've even got a record coming out in early 2010 produced by DJ Teenwolf of Ninjasonik! Unfortunately we are also four broke college students and it's 1900 miles from New Paltz to Austin. Therein lies the problem.

We will be leaving New Paltz on March 12, playing shows anywhere that will have us in any state between NY and TX and rushing back for class on March 22.

Most of the DIY venues we will be visiting will only be able to compensate us with a hot shower, a hot meal and warm place to sleep which is great but it's not going to get us around and feed us on those long drives.

It is going to be approximately 3800 miles round trip. If gas prices stay at their current price, we are looking at a minimum of 600 dollars in gas expenses alone! On top of that, our valiant steed a.k.a. a purple 2000 Dodge Caravan a.k.a. Carbara Ann is in definite need of a tune-up if she is ever going to make the trip.

Also, poor Carbara is going to need some help if she plans on carrying all of our tour necessities. We plan on lightening her load by renting a small trailer to carry most of our equipment.

A quick recap:

Right now, you might be asking yourself "Is one thousand dollars enough?"

Honestly, it's probably not. But it's a start. That's what we need.These are tough times for everyone. We understand that. Your support can put four boys on the road to rock stardom... or at least Texas.
