About this project

DOMINION web series is a dark tale of mystery told in the classic detective noir style. It features a rich world of supernatural creatures who live side by side with humans... our own world. They prefer to stay in the shadows, the stuff of legends and myths. But one Private Investigator is finding out that sometimes the truth is more dangerous than the myths they hide.

We plan to shoot the Pilot Episode and first 6 episodes of the series in September. While the intended run of the first season is 24 episodes, the reality is that a series like this requires a huge time commitment from actors and crew. Plans are to shoot for 9 days in September and spend the rest of time in post-production to meet the release date of Halloween, premiering the first 6 episodes to an internet audience.

What we'd like to do is have these first episodes as polished as possible with high production value to show what we can do. These episodes will give us a solid negotiating platform with future sponsors in that they can see exactly what kind of show it is and the quality storytelling we can deliver. We have already started building an audience with a series of promotional 1 minute “minisodes” and anticipation is building for the series.

Written by Andrew Stoute & Rodney Smith, who have worked on over 10 short films over the past 3 years. It will be directed and edited by Rodney Smith who will use his experience in creating effective and impactful films to bring the series to life.

We're also partnering with Nice Guy Productions for grip and support gear and their expertise will take the project to higher levels. With a Dolly, Crane, Steadicam and additional support gear at our disposal the finished picture will look phenomenal.

We're keeping the crew small and the cast small as well. This is by design so we can move light and quickly during the course of the production and so it doesn't cost us a ton of money just to set up for the day.
