About this project
As a skydiver and artist who paints about skydiving, I have been presented with a remarkable opportunity to immerse myself into both skydiving and painting at the same time. I've devised a three month skydiving training and painting trip. Training doing 3-5 jumps a day, five days a week, doing narrative paintings along the way, living in an RV. This project will be the first time in my 10 years of skydiving and four years of painting about it, that I will have the opportunity to do both at once. The effect upon the images I create, I believe, will be profound and compelling. This will also be a great opportunity for myself and my collaborator Norman Kent http://www.normankent.com to get some process shots of paintings as well as in air video footage for a documentary project we have been working on.
The project will end in Nov 2010 with the women's vertical world record skydiving attempts.
So far as I know, I will be one of two "official" Canadian's on this world record if I make it!
Project goal:
Create a series of 15 - 30 mixed media paintings, conveying the more artistic and dedicated aspects of skydiving. The largest of these paintings will be 4ft x 8ft relief, portraying the women's world vertical record.

My expenses are high as skydiving is not an inexpensive sport. The money is going to:
- Updating my skydiving gear and maintenance
- License fees
- Registration fees for the skydiving events I will be attending
- Jumping and travel expenses
- RV rental
- Art Supplies
- Food and living expenses for my cameraman and myself
- Money to print the high quality Giclees I have offered as rewards.
- A percentage for Kickstarter
A note to anyone interested in supporting this effort. If you donate an RV, (if you are a company, it can be one with your logo on it), I can bring my expenses down $17 775. I will hand that amount over to The Teresa Group http://www.teresagroup.ca the moment this project is 100% funded, as that is the largest expense I have.

I am an artist who works with stone sculpture, water color, acrylic and pastel to create images. My favorite subject matter is the sky and the people who play in it. Yes that is me flying in the sky in my profile pic.
My abstract impressionist style is extremely unique and has some tribal undertones.
What can I say about me personally. I love creativity and courage and always cheer on the underdog. I mean the favorites have enough people in their cheering section and everyone on this planet deserves a cheering section!
ALWAYS up for collaborative efforts with other artists, in any medium.
Creativity is the way to free expression and the understanding of who we are and how we tick. Without it this world would be one damn boring place!
