First Cause: A Novel About Human Possibility is an independently published novel that went live with its first edition in 2010. Fueled by local fanfare and a NYC area book tour, First Cause received positive reviews from a wide variety of readers. 2011 saw a suspension of business operations due to financial setbacks--but in 2012, First Cause is set to re-release in paperback form, with eye-catching new cover art! This is where YOU come in!

Yours truly, author Paul West, was recently added as a literary guest to FandomFest, a speculative fiction convention in Louisville; my goal is to have 50 copies printed to bring to the convention, where I will officially launch the new paperback edition and kick off a 2012 book tour.

First Cause: A Novel About Human Possibility is a thematically driven speculative thriller, with a strong female protagonist and a diverse cast of characters. It appeals to a broad range of readers, including history buffs and sci fi fans.
