@Anson we second that statement!! Linseed and a number of other natural oils bring out the deep colors of the wood and make the cases look awesome. Thanks for the tip.

For anyone who hasn't done it yet... I highly recommend applying a couple coats of Linseed oil onto the wood trim. It made an already nice case look like a thousand times nicer!!!

Let me start of by saying that the fit and finish on my Bowden case is 95% amazing. The leather flap lacks a bit, as it seems to be just a tad oversized, both length and width wise, and the spacing on the magnets could stand to be a tad wider. Beside that, it is a truly AWESOME product! Also, I could be mistaken, but was this case not supposed to unlock the iPad when you slide it out? Thanks!

Hi guys. I did receive my case. Two things i noticed. One: I ordered one with dark walnut wood and also darkbrown leather. What I see is light wood and in my opinoin not the darkest leather choice. I will send you a photo if you like. Can you please tell me what went wrong.?

@Jing Glad you received your case, and you are most welcome. Leather has a memory that makes it take a certain shape, so with use that rounded gap at the opening you're talking about will square off a little more. The slight narrowness is normal, but it shouldn't impede your iPad from sliding into the case. Send us a message if this is happening, or if you have any more questions.

Some things I noticed abt my case:
1) It seems the leather flap is made longer then expected. At times, the flap may not get itself back into the slot properly. As the leather is longer than expected, there maybe a noticeable gap between the opening (for the iPad to slot in) and the leather itself.
2) I also noticed the centre of the case seems to narrower than the sides. Is this normal? Or could it be due to pressure from other cargo stacking on top of my package during the flight to my area?

I'm not fed up or frustrated, so please don't include everyone in Josh's "we." I personally think that 8 post-funding updates is good communication, not to mention your consistent attention and responsiveness to public comments and private messages.
Also, the delivery estimate says August 2012, which, by my calculations, was about 10 weeks ago (not four months). Would I like to already have my Bowden? Sure. But I'd rather wait a few more weeks and have one they are proud to send me than have it already and be somewhat disappointed with it.
Levi and Eric, thanks for your graciousness, and for your work.

Hi Josh. We know we have let you down with the extension of the delivery date, and we do feel terrible about it. This is our first Kickstarter project and first major production run with a ton of diverse custom parts (machined Aluminum, anodization, hand routed wood, custom sewn leather w/magnets, etc.), and we did underestimate production time.
What we won't disappoint you with, however, is the quality and beauty of the product.
We are doing everything we can to get a premium product in your hands as soon as possible, and it will definitely be much sooner than two months!
We will definitely fulfill an expectation of a weekly update from here on out.

Guys, we are getting a little fed up with the constant delays and excuses. You have repeatedly been asked to increase the level of your communication. I expect to see an update once a week, if a project is communicating effectively. Yours average once every 6 weeks, and generally are of the nature, "We had another problem, so production/ordering/shipping will be delayed again..."
I'm starting to feel as if this project is not a priority for you guys at all. Your estimated delivery was 4 months ago. Now, we are being told that we don't have a expected delivery date, but that it will likely be at least 2 months...
I'm not likely to back another project by you guys, unfortunately.

I had expected to have my case by September 1, when I began a monthlong trip to Austria and Hungary, and honestly, I was motivated by my (then upcoming) travel to make the commitment because it would have been perfect (long flights and several train trips). I've now been home from that trip for two weeks, and still no case. I must admit: I'm fairly disappointed, since I backed you on May 14, almost exactly 5 months ago...
