We hope you view the video above to get a sense of what this project is about and the style in which it will be done. We're about making a movie that laughs at the seeming tragedy of parental influence.

"My Father's Jacket" is a short dark comedy about a guy as cool as can be. He's a relentless womanizer and delinquent son who gradually begins to realize the consequences of his actions. Specifically, those that he recognized in his father.

We have the technique, but we don't have the funds to give our film the production value it deserves. Much of the film relies on a colorful perspective that can be accomplished only with the right lenses and production design.

Funds raised through Kick Starter will go towards establishing colorful and richly detailed cinematography to SHOW the story. This includes equipment (mostly appropriate lenses), costumes, props and locations.

Part of making a strong film is finding the right music and recording proper sound. Funds will also go towards buying music rights and ensuring that our sound is much better than what you hear in the video above!

You can get involved by making a donation or spreading the word. Any sign of support grants a copy of the finished film, but the deeper your involvement; the more rewards and updates you'll receive. With your help, we can catch wind of the gusto that is required to deliver a high-energy, well humored, self assured protagonist to life AND build an active audience BEFORE the film is released.

We want to make a dark comedy about legacy. And we want to make it good.
