About this project
UPDATE: WOW. Somehow, we hit our $1,000 goal in about eight hours. This is so unreal! We have about a month and a half left of the fundraiser, and have decided to set some new goals that we'd like to put out there.
New Goal #1: If we hit $2,000, we will get all new shiny delightful merch printed up to use for prizes AND release our first single, “Dirt vs. Grass”, as a special edition download - including an alternate version of the song, remix and b-side! We will release it before the album comes out (online only), and all Kickstarter supporters will get free download codes.
It would be absolutely unreal and amazing if we made that goal, and if for some reason we do, there will be even more possibilities (like another Tumblr post explaining Goal #2!)
This is so crazy, you guys! To everyone who has helped so far, even just by sending the link to a friend, reblogging or anything at all, just know that you are part of making the thing I care about most be the best it can be. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Well internet, the time has come. I've finally finished my first real album. The project is called Field Mouse, and after more than a year of hard work and the help of some ultra-amazing friends, I am extremely happy with how the final product sounds.
So here we are with this finished album and some lovely artwork. I know that a majority of people choose to download albums these days, but we'd really like to make it available on CD, too.
This is where Kickstarter comes in: even a limited edition printing of 500 CDs costs upwards of $1000. This is a lot of dough for a musician with a part-time job. This project is completely independent of any record label or management, so everything we've done so far has come our own pockets. We would love to see all this work materialize into a physical product and we could think of no cooler way to raise the funds. Don't forget, it's Kickstarter, so there are tons of totally cool prizes for your support!
