About this project
In June 2010, I launched the soul & hip hop music-inspired webcomic A Pug Named Fender (APNF) to celebrate the life of my dog who passed away the previous month. He was a true companion who hung out with me in the studio while I worked on music or produced my podcast.
APNF regularly features "illustrated" guest appearances from GRAMMY® nominated artists like Eric Roberson, Lalah Hathaway, The Foreign Exchange as well as other soul & hip hop heroes who've lent their likeness and support this movement. The goal of APNF is to celebrate the music and build awareness of renowned and rising stars.
PUG PLEASE! is a book I'm putting together with more than 100 APNF episodes from the webcomic - in high resolution (300dpi) format - PLUS:
- Never-before-seen episodes
- Exclusive sketches, illustrations and photos
- Commentary on featured guests
I started this Kickstarter campaign to raise the funds to print 100 copies of PUG PLEASE! as well as promote its release. There will only be 100 of this first edition...ever.
