Hi, thanks for visiting me on Kickstarter! Fashionjenn Handbags was born from  the belief that a bag is an extension of it's owner and should not only be beautiful and effortlessly chic, but highly functional. Each bag is carefully handcrafted from the beginning sketch to the first sample in my home studio. The patterns and samples are then hand delivered to a family owned and operated manufacturer right here in Chicago, where they meticulously create each one of my designs. The materials used are the highest quality leathers and hardware, sourced in the U.S.

I have spent the last year developing my Signature Collection, combining classic silouettes, contemporary hardware and removable laptop sleeves to give each piece versatility without sacrificing style.

Everything I have has gone into this, and the journey has brought me to this point! You can help me get the rest of the way and get a handbag that will stay with you for years to come. 

Why I need your support: 

Spending the last 12 months designing the collection, material sourcing, finding a local manufacturer and tooling up for production has been a labor of love and personal investment. In order to be able to place my first order and be able to share my creations, I have to meet a minimum with my manufacturer. By supporting me, you are enabling me to bring my handbags to market and support not only local business, but the Midwest Fashion Community.

What the 25K will do:

The 25K is the amount needed to pay for the raw materials and labor to make the handbags. Producing a product locally can be a costly endeavour. However, it gives me the ability to oversee every part of the process to ensure the highest level of quality and exclusivity of the finished product. 

11K will be used to purchase the necessary materials to make the handbags and the 14K is the labor cost required to complete the order. Once the initial order is placed I will be able to share my handbags with all of my loyal friends, family and fellow fashionistas.

 Any additional money raised will give me the ability to market the collection and add more design options later this year.
