Faraday is reinventing the American commute

Update #10 · Apr 1, 2013 · 4 comments

Hello Kickstarters!

It's been a while since Faraday's campaign wrapped up last fall, but that doesn't mean we're not still hard at work!  While I recently sent out an update to all the folks eagerly awaiting a brand new Faraday Porteur to let them know that our delivery date is unfortunately going to slip, the GREAT news is that we've made a ton of progress - on many fronts - since our campaign concluded, and we WILL be shipping bikes.

In the meantime, many more people have placed their deposit to receive one of the first bicycles Faraday produces, and it's clear that the excitement that began with you during our Kickstarter campaign is contagious!  If you want to own one of the first Faraday's to be produced, it's not too late to place a deposit.

Now, I want to share with you the latest, very exciting piece of the Faraday story.  The folks at Whole Foods Market produce an online magazine, Dark Rye; the current theme is "The Future".  Whole Foods got in touch with us, wanting to feature Faraday as an example of how the current explosion in the popularity of cycling is turning America's car culture on its head.  Click on the link below and scroll through the arrows at the bottom to see all of the awesome content.

http://www.darkrye.com/content/faraday-effect-dark-rye

The Dark Rye team did a fantastic job and I know you'll enjoy it.  Feel free to share, and help spread the word about how your support of Faraday's Kickstarter is fueling the fire of a bicycling revolution - a cleaner, saner, and way more fun way to navigate our cities.

Happy riding, from all of us here at Faraday HQ!

Adam

One more day to go + SF wrap-up party!

Update #7 · Aug 9, 2012 · comment

Hello backers!

There's only one more day to go before Faraday's Kickstarter campaign ends at midnight on Friday, August 10th! Our campaign has been an overwhelming success, and we want to thank you for your enthusiasm and support in enabling us to meet our goal and bring this exciting new bicycle to market!  This truly would not be possible without your support.

If you've been on the fence about purchasing a brand new Faraday Porteur, this is your last chance to secure our discounted Kickstarter pricing, free domestic shipping, and perks like a Faraday t-shirt and framed limited edition print. As always, if you have questions, please reach us at info@faradaybikes.com so we can help answer them.

For those of you in the SF bay area, please consider joining us for a wrap-up party tomorrow, Friday evening (8/10) at The New Wheel electric bicycle shop in Bernal Heights, SF, from 7-9pm. We'll be showing off the Faraday and making a celebratory toast to the end of our campaign and the beginning of the exciting next chapter for Faraday. Thanks Brett and Karen for your hospitality!

Please stay in touch and keep a lookout for exciting new things to come from Faraday Bicycles. As our backers, you'll have the unique opportunity to follow our journey over the upcoming months as we bring this innovate new bicycle to market.  We hope you appreciate the rare behind-the-scenes glimpse of what it takes to bring a disruptive new product to the world!

best,

Adam
