    In January of 2010 we found ourselves minus a bass player. Instead of going through the tedious motions of finding a new member we decided to become a three piece and rework the dynamics of the band. Miles and I, being guitar players and the main songwriters, decided that we would lose the spirit that we feel makes our sound our own if one of us moved to the bass. Instead, after some trial and error, we figured out a nice sounding set up by, among other things, splitting Miles' guitar signal through a guitar and bass amp.  During all of this, were already in the midst of finishing up our first full-length, "Perfect Present". That album was comprised of songs that were written with our old bass player, Diane Reynolds. Without her, those songs sounded empty so it was only natural to decide that we needed to write all new songs. We had to come up with new material fast as we only had 2 months before our next scheduled show! With the time crunch and new found enthusiasm about our made over sound, the songs just poured out of us. By the time we had made it to our first show as a three piece, we had a whole new set of songs and the crowd ate them up. I think our enthusiasm radiates with these songs and people pick up on that right away. 

     That spring and summer we released our CD "Perfect Present" and went on tour. All the while, we kept writing and playing the new songs, almost completely forgetting about our CD release! We just couldn't stop thinking about how great the next record as the new Fahri would be.  Shortly after returning from an east coast tour we got news that our drummer, Neil, who is also an experimental artist, had received a sizable grant from an artist foundation. The grant was to fund the production of a number of pieces for an art show scheduled the following Fall. Knowing that he wouldn't have time for both his art project and the band, Neil decided  to leave Fahri in order to take advantage of this great opportunity. But Neil, having put so much of his heart into the band, did not want to leave without one last record. 

    We took next two months off from playing shows to write another handful of songs that would make the album complete. The result was 10 songs, stripped down and raw in comparison with the previous release, yet rich in catchy, atonal, guitar hooks, hiss, static, and mesmerizing vocal melodies.  We took the songs and our gear straight to Ricky Riemer, owner and head engineer at Science of Sound Studios in Madison, WI. Just as speedily as the songs we're written, we cranked out a full length recording in the span of a few days and it sounds amazing. (Ricky rules!)

    Lucky for us, we found Joe, our new drummer,  within weeks of Neil's departure. We've been playing lots of shows with Joe and we're dying to get this new recording pressed and into the hands of the public! It is so important to us because "Final Disconnect Notice" is a milestone for us. We feel that it best represents who we are as artists and it is a foretelling of even better music to come.

   We have managed to pay for the recording, mixing, and the digital masters but due to the unpredictability of life and some personal financial setbacks (the inspiration for the album's title), we are coming up short for the cost of the vinyl masters and pressing. We are looking at having to spend another $1500.00 to make this album a reality, however, we are only asking for $1100. We think that's doable with your help!
