Update #7: CDs have landed!
The CDs arrived on the glorious full moon of last eve! All 1,033 of them!! We are soo excited to finally see them. It's all really happening! wow.
What an amazing journey this entire process has been! And we have YOU to THANK!!
This weekend we will assemble the rewards packages! If you are local and are planning on coming to the CD release party, Your rewards will be available for you that night with a special Viva La SeaStar Fans prize! Folks outside the Seattle area, will likely receive your rewards in the mail close to if not on the CD release party date of June 25 (that is our goal!). May take a little longer for our international fans (sorry my friend!).
We are so fortunate to have so many who have supported, believed, and cheered us on! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Update #6: Weekend # 3 complete!
Just a little note to let you know that the CD is mixed and about to be mastered!! We have 12 tracks and we are working on the artwork now. It's almost done!!! wow!!! Lots of work in a very short time.
A limited edition EP will be available at Northwest Folklife called "Almost Home"... it will feature 4 or 5 tracks from the new album as well as some live material. This EP will be the official release of our new single "Broken". It will be a limited run and will be numbered and signed.
It will go on sale Friday May 27th and can be purchased through the FolkLife store and email/paypal. If you are not in the Seattle area and wish to purchase a copy, please email us seastar@jetbutterfly.com The CD will be $12 and that includes shipping. Remember.. there will only be 100 copies... and that all!
Our CD Release party of "Home" is scheduled for Saturday June 25th at SoulFood Books in Redmond, WA. This is such an amazing space with a sincere feeling of 'coming home'. The band could not think of a better place to have the release! The concert will start at 8pm Pacific time and will be streamed live on the internet through soultribetv.com So if you can't make it locally, you can still see the concert!!

Update #4: THANK YOU!
Thank you! Your kindness and enthusiasm has made our dream come true!! We are fully funded and hit the studio on April 16th! Our hearts are brimming with love and gratitude!! Thank you to our families, friends, and fans who made this possible!
You will hear from us in the coming weeks if you are to receive rewards. Remember that the new CD will not come out until the Summer Solstice/Father's day... around June 21st. We are using Discmakers for duplication and they will help us get the music on CD Baby, I tunes, and Amazon.

Update #3: HOLY SMOKES! Coffee all over ....
So I started my day very much like any other. I poured my morning coffee, popped on the computer, sat down, and checked where we were on our Kickstarter page....
Sleepy eyed, I blinked and blinked as I looked at our running total. Suddenly, as if a little bell went DING, my brain registered what I was reading!! I gasped and yippeed, spilling coffee all over my desk and me! Teehee! My goodness... WE MADE OUR GOAL!!! ALL THANKS TO YOU!!!
AND we still have 3 days left to collect donations! Anything over and beyond will help with getting a PA system for the band and incidentals associated with the CD. Plus, Kickstarter takes their cut too, so this helps us out sooo much!
I promise it will all go to good use! Your enthusiasm and support has made a dream come true for me! My heart is glowing and so full of gratitude.

Fae... a folky, irishy, curly haired girl who likes to sing about love, birds and remembrances kept in a favourite hiding place. She finds secrets in sea glass and stories in driftwood. Her music is influenced by the dancing flowers, wind through trees, and the raspberry sky at sunset. She loves to hear people's tales and dip her toes into waters unknown. She is as free as the blossoms on the wind and often gives cds away to welcoming ears. Music can't be tamed.
She has composed original music as well as performed on five CDs recorded, manufactured, and sold in Canada entitled:

In 2010 she released "Christmas Tapestry" with Middle Eastern percussionist, George Sadak. The album is a fusion of traditional Christmas carols with a Middle Eastern flair.
In 2007, Fae created a band in Seattle called SeaStar. As a duo, they released a couple of SeaStar's albums: SeaStar - demo (the Blue Album) and 2009 RPM Challenge (or known as the "Black Album")
The band has been plowing new ground with a soon-to-be third album! Along for the ride is filmmaker, Captain Chambers on Bass Guitar, Michael Falcone on Percussion and Keys, and Geli "Plinkey Plinks" Wuerzner on Fiddle! SeaStar continues to play Folklife in Seattle, Yakima Folklife, the Index Arts Festival, The Sunset, the Comet, High-Dive, The Comet, Skylark, and more!. Like the humble explorers they have become, SeaStar always greets you with a smile…and they love to play!.... ... we love music .. . . the sea & the sky . .....
Fae feels very fortunate to be on this path. She couldn't be where she is today without her Captain, her family, and all those she met along the way. Things happen for a reason and every event helps shape the stone today...
