My suspense novel is finished. With your support, I will self-publish it in print + as an e-book. Help make my dream come true!
I'm writing a Jewish version of The Da Vinci Code. Yep! That's right!
THE TORAH CODES is a suspense novel that challenges your perspective on what it means to be Jewish.
The overall message is this: G-d exists. And there's more to Her than you think.
Nathan, a computer programmer, is being watched by a secret society. When a police officer investigating his case turns up dead, Nathan realizes that everyone he holds dear could be next. As has been foretold in the ancient scriptures.
Here's the good news: The book is done. Now all that's left is to publish the book.
Also, after this project is fully funded, a percentage of all book sales will be donated to Bay Area Jewish schools.
Here's the why I'm doing this as self-published project.
1. Because I can. (My beautiful wife is a professional book editor and coach, so I got all the HOWs down!)
2. Because I have something to say, and why should I wait years to share my message with the world.
3. Because YOU have been asking for it. Yes, that's right. Every time I've shared what I'm doing with people around me, they ask, "When can I read that?"
WHEN? On March 29th of 2011, with your help, you can!
WHAT is the money for?
Glad you asked!
It's for the cover artist, the proof reading, the layout, the Alternate Reality Game (ARG) for marketing, the ISBN and barcode, the printing, and the e-book setup.
TELL ME MORE ABOUT THE BOOK
Here's a scene from the antagonist's perspective one night:
Luke parked his car next to Nathan’s and turned off the engine. The “O Fortuna” from Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana played on the radio. Luke closed his eyes and listened to the sounds of the choir singing of the sacred and the profane. The chords ripped through his heart with a passionate joy that bled to his toes and fingertips. That chill ran up his spine, the kind of chill he always got when hearing brilliant works of music.
Luke believed that this was the true test of music. If it sent a shiver up the listener’s spine, it was worthy of being called brilliant. Didn’t matter if it was classical or that disgusting rap. As long as it could do that, could make someone feel something physically profound, it was praiseworthy.
The piece finished. Luke turned off the radio. He sat back in his seat and let the sounds resonate in his head in the silence of the night. With a sigh of content, he opened the glove compartment and removed a 38 caliber gun and a box of bullets. He slid each bullet in the compartments, snapped the chamber shut, and left the car.
Are you ready to help me launch this groundbreaking novel? Say "Yes!"
