The Chester Upland School District, near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is home to a community of passionate students and teachers. The livelihood of this district is being threatened due to a 20 million dollar budget shortfall and millions more in debt. When the district announced that it may be unable to pay its teachers and staff members in January 2012, the teachers of Chester Upland pledged to work for free for as long as they were individually able. 

Four students at the Roy H. Park School of Communications at Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY want to tell the moving story of these teachers, their sacrifices, and the state of education in Pennsylvania, as well as in America. To tell this story, we need your help. Your funding will go toward transportation to and from schools, parking in Philadelphia, equipment, and food.
